Curse of Woney changes
Greetings Witches!
After 3 years of development, and over a year of updates,
I’m proud to announce the final Curse of Woney Update!
Barring any bug fixes, this game will be considered
complete and receive no more updates! Worry not, as
this update comes with some final bells and whistles
to make it worth while as well as tweaks to every
single spell, enemy, and state in the game (again).
Let’s dive into it!
Gameplay/Balance Changes
[NEW!]Tarots: Major Arcana & Minor Arcana
A brand new mechanic introduced to add variety and strategy
to each run!
Upon starting a run, Woney will draw 3 random Major Arcana,
each with their own effects to help guide you on your escape.
•Minor Arcana: Drawing minor arcana grants Woney the option to
choose 3 random skills, same as he was able to before, but now
with the minor caveat of occasionally being influenced by Major
Arcana.
•[NEW!] All of Woney's skills have had their
damage formulas changed and tweaked (Again...)!
•[NEW!] All enemies have had their HP and Defensive stats
adjusted to match Woney's new damage outputs (again), making those
moments where Woney does insane damage feel more rewarding
rather than trivializing the enemies in the game.
Woney gains even more stats per level!
Skill Mastery no longer increases damage scaling per level.
Lots of Script/Coding Updates
I won't bore anyone with the details, but a lot of this games internal workings have been improved with scripts!
Bug Fixes
Some more typos.
Multiple Augments are properly removed upon death.
??? Moves to the correct spot during the reflection
cutscene.
Certain spells/skills are give the correct description.
