addedWhat are the best and worst aspects of your job?Best: it‘s a bit like adding sprinkles and a cherry on top - often the whole dev team lights up when you add a final layer of polish onto their already beautiful scenes. Worst: sometimes you have to skip the cherry, because VFX can get really expensive performance-wise.
changedWhat are your favorite video games besides There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension? Some all-time favorites: Don‘t Starve, Hearthstone, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom and Oracle of Seasons. ;)
changedWhat are your favorite video games besides There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension?Recently I greatly enjoyed Pacific Drive - a fresh gameplay mix with a great atmosphere and soundtrack. And for anyone who loves the point & click genre I‘d also recommend Tangle Tower.

What is your job and can you describe your role within the team?

I‘m a freelance VFX artist. I create visual effects for video games - smoke, fire, water, sparkles and all those elusive little things that breathe life into a scene. I tailor each effect to the game‘s distinctive visual style and make sure players receive satisfying feedback for their actions.

What was your background, before joining Draw Me A Pixel?

I‘ve been freelancing as a VFX artist for several years now. I love working with small indie studios and usually join them for a couple of months before moving on to the next project. Before that I co-founded a tiny indie studio with three friends, where we developed and released a cozy adventure game called Weaving Tides.

How does it feel to finally be able to talk about Crushed In Time after all this time?

It‘s wonderful to finally be able to show friends and family what I‘ve been working on! And the hype around the game has been really exciting to watch. It makes the wait feel worth it!
