addedOther improvementsAdded a keyword for bosses with the following text: "Bosses are the most formidable of foes, and possess a variety of special abilities. They are also extremely durable, taking less damage than other enemies. The effect of durability increases with difficulty and stage level, and with the amount of damage taken recently. For example, an early game boss will take ~16-25% more damage for each 2x incoming damage and a late game boss will take ~11-15% more for each 2x incoming."

A few special elite enemies will now appear in stages after the first - these chaotic entities do not distinguish between friend and foe, and are as much of a threat to the other enemies as they are to you.

Other improvements

  • Added a keyword for bosses with the following text: "Bosses are the most formidable of foes, and possess a variety of special abilities. They are also extremely durable, taking less damage than other enemies. The effect of durability increases with difficulty and stage level, and with the amount of damage taken recently. For example, an early game boss will take ~16-25% more damage for each 2x incoming damage and a late game boss will take ~11-15% more for each 2x incoming."

  • Added tutorial messages for the first time a player receives a buff/debuff (the description of buffs and debuffs can be found in the character details page within the equipment screen)

  • Buffs and debuffs are now listed directly under character stats on the character details page

  • The Codex is now accessible from in game

  • Improved failure messages for crafting options

  • Expanding keywords on the level up menu now correctly expands the menu size if possible

  • Simplified and made all buff spells consistent in how they display their duration stat

  • The crafting option to perform a Greater Divination now shows up when the regular divination option appears (assuming you have the character modifier active), so you can see its requirements.

Gameplay changes

  • Reduced the life of enemies in The Ascent and further stages

  • Endless Gale no longer doubles gain rate of windforce from critical hits

Bug fixes

  • Fixed cross-platform multiplayer desync

  • Fixed an issue where certain input in text boxes could crash the game

  • Fixed an issue where the character selection screen was the wrong size on some resolutions

  • Fixed an issue with Remembrance characters attempting to load invalid stages

  • Fixed an issue where the escape menu would take input while hidden

  • Fixed an issue where the Hollowing upgrade of Vital Body would prevent you from dying to enemy melee hits

  • Fixed an issue where using a spark of renewal on a spell at the right (wrong) time would crash the game
