Crisis Cabinet changes
Hello everyone,
Thank you to everyone who has already found, followed and wishlisted Crisis Cabinet. Early interest is starting to build, and it has been great to see the game beginning to gain momentum ahead of Early Access.
For anyone new here, Crisis Cabinet is a political strategy simulation where you lead a nation through elections, unrest, economic pressure, cabinet conflict, crises, coups, diplomacy and war. Every decision has consequences. Spend too much and debt rises. Ignore the public and unrest grows. Lose the military’s confidence and the threat of a coup becomes very real.
The current plan is to bring Crisis Cabinet to Early Access in early August 2026, with a confirmed release date to follow once the build is ready.
Right now, development is focused on making the Early Access version tense, readable and replayable from the first turn. The aim is to give players a complete political survival loop where every run can take a different direction depending on how they handle pressure from voters, the economy, the cabinet, the military and the wider world.
What is being worked on now
A clearer first-turn advisor briefing
Better feedback on public support, unrest, debt and stability
Stronger crisis and consequence screens
Improved balancing around elections, coups and economic pressure
More dramatic event chains and political dilemmas
General polish ahead of the Early Access release
Early Access will be the start of the journey, not the end. After launch, the plan is to keep expanding Crisis Cabinet with more events, more national dilemmas, more balancing, more content and community-led improvements.
