_Announcement: 0.7 in Winter 2026

This is an update on the current state of CriminalZ and my goals for the end of the year. Before releasing the next demo version, I want to implement all major features that are still missing from CriminalZ.

This is an update on the current state of CriminalZ and my goals for the end of the year.

Before releasing the next demo version, I want to implement all major features that are still missing from CriminalZ. Some crucial systems are not in place yet, and they are necessary for the game to become the version of CriminalZ I truly want it to be.

Currently in Implementation

Augments Augments are equippable items that can be installed into specific body slots. Each slot has a color, and players can receive additional color bonuses by combining multiple augments of the same color.

New Equipment System Tools can still be equipped and remain mandatory for certain jobs. However, I have reworked the interface so players can also choose one primary tool, which provides bonus effects for the rest of the gameplay.

New Stats New stats will be added to the game. In addition to success chance, there will also be quantity, value, and luck.

Missing Features

Game Over Handling The game should end if the quota is not reached. If a player dies, the current and future quota requirements will increase.

Main Menu The main menu should start with a short intro sequence that explains what the game is about. It will also include character information directly in the menu.

Base Building Players will be able to buy objects for their base through a terminal.

Mask Collecting Players will have the option to wear different masks. New masks can be found while playing the game.

...and much more.

My current estimate is that the demo should be available in November 2026. My goal is to make it public and include a small city that contains all core features. In the final game, these features will be spread across three cities, with much more content overall.
