Hello Everyone, Andrew here with the latest Crewin news on the roadmap, my next update, and some info on the path to full release.

changedGeneral Overview of this updateIt has been months since the last update and there is good reason for that. This update will have much more content regarding weapons and armor, more towns/cities, better performance, and more. Hopefully, there will be some teaser screenshots and gameplay footage in the coming weeks.
changedFast TravelFast travel is a touchy system for me as an RPG lover. I want to make sure I get this right in a way everybody would like it. My personal feelings for Open-World RPGs is I don't use fast travel often since I explore the open world in between destinations. With that being said, for the time being, you can pull up a fast travel map using the 'M' key, but you can only travel to the main capitals of each hold. In the future, there will be a stable/fast travel station in each capital that you can only fast-travel to that specific location.
addedMore Weapons and ArmorAlthough I will be adding more weapons and armor into this update, it will not be fully finished. The icons will be missing from the inventory since I have horrible artistic skills. But those will be done in the future.
addedCombat TweaksThere will also be some combat tweaks as well. The controls will be moved around a little for a more easy feel. Although the specific controls have not been decided as of right now They will be announced soon. Another slight addition will be new sound effects for the enemy AI when they attack/get hurt.
addedWeather and Time of day overhaulAlthough this was not entirely needed. I was unhappy with the current condition of the time of day/ weather systems. So I decided to completely overhaul the system. With a completely new skybox and weather presets, I hope to make the system more flushed and dynamic.
changedBoss BattlesI have hidden a few mutant boss battles around the world to future encourage exploration. There will be 5 battles total that will drop Legendary Weapons and Armor.

Update Release

I have a general idea of when this update will be released. My planned release date for this update will be no later than December 3rd, 2022.

Specific Update Features

Fast Travel

Fast travel is a touchy system for me as an RPG lover. I want to make sure I get this right in a way everybody would like it. My personal feelings for Open-World RPGs is I don't use fast travel often since I explore the open world in between destinations. With that being said, for the time being, you can pull up a fast travel map using the 'M' key, but you can only travel to the main capitals of each hold. In the future, there will be a stable/fast travel station in each capital that you can only fast-travel to that specific location.

More Weapons and Armor

Although I will be adding more weapons and armor into this update, it will not be fully finished. The icons will be missing from the inventory since I have horrible artistic skills. But those will be done in the future.

Combat Tweaks

There will also be some combat tweaks as well. The controls will be moved around a little for a more easy feel. Although the specific controls have not been decided as of right now They will be announced soon. Another slight addition will be new sound effects for the enemy AI when they attack/get hurt.

Location, Location, Location

There will be many more cities and towns to explore. The third hold, Veplor is almost completed with hopes of Anthon being mostly finished before the update releases.

NPC GALORE

This update will also have numerous NPCs around the world. Although the specific number is unknown most towns will have 15-20 NPCs while capital cities will have between 300-750 during the final release. For now, capitals will have about 200 each.

Weather and Time of day overhaul

Although this was not entirely needed. I was unhappy with the current condition of the time of day/ weather systems. So I decided to completely overhaul the system. With a completely new skybox and weather presets, I hope to make the system more flushed and dynamic.

Boss Battles

I have hidden a few mutant boss battles around the world to future encourage exploration. There will be 5 battles total that will drop Legendary Weapons and Armor.

World Update

There are a few changes to the landscape, for instance, they are now sectioned out by hold so when you are in one hold certain areas unload to help reduce GPU and CPU usage. Another bigger change is the mountains in the middle of the world are no longer flat on top so it is more of a natural mountain
