Hi everyone!

We just wanted to drop an update, since the last one was done a little while ago, but there was a few delays on a few specific aspects.

Chapter 2 progress

Chapter 2 is underway. Most of the content is finished, however some additional polishing is required to make sure the experience matches what you've played in Chapter 1. We were hoping to release everything this week, however this will not be possible.

Here's so basic stats about the upcoming content release:

  • 30 new puzzles with 3 new mechanics

  • 9 new cinematics and story points

  • Additional codexes to give even more background about the character and his story.

Additionally, there will be some cutscene modification to the first chapter, including a new cutscene. More codex and journal entries will be added and spread between the puzzles.

  • While replaying Chapter 1 is not fully necessary to understand the story, we believe there will be enough changes to warrant replaying it.

  • Usually replaying would be faster than the first time around, because solutions to puzzles will come much faster.

  • Your existing saves if you completed chapter 1 will resume at beginning of Chapter 2 flawlessly.

Achievements

To prevent having to redo the story once the final game is released, and since we're already suggesting to replay Chapter 1, we'll be releasing achievements for Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 at the same time.

  • Adding achievement will add a bit of delay to the release of Chapter 2, but this would be the best timing to work on it.

Puzzle-Maker

Some playtesting has been done with the puzzle maker, and a few improvement were raised as part of that exercise. Furthermore, your feedback in Discord and Steam Community have been heard and we'll try to include as many as possible.

  • However, to prevent delaying the progress of Chapter 2, it's possible that the Puzzle-Making improvement make their way to Steam a few weeks later than Chapter 2.

  • When the puzzle-maker update is released, it will include the 3 new mechanics added from the Chapter 2.
