Development is being paused.

I have some unfortunate news about Crescent Overload. TLDR: Crescent Overload is on indefinite hiatus. Crescent Overload started as a fun little prototype for a scythe-based character.

changedI'm taking everything I learned towards smaller scope projects. I won't share any personal projects until they are at a playable stage, as to not set up any more bad expectations. I'm also involved on several outside projects that I (hopefully) should be able to share about later this year.
addedAgain, I'm sorry to let you all down, but this has been something I've been trying to figure out for awhile. I hope that you'll still be there for when I have something new to share. Thank you for all your support!

I have some unfortunate news about Crescent Overload.

TLDR: Crescent Overload is on indefinite hiatus.

Crescent Overload started as a fun little prototype for a scythe-based character. I never knew it would turn into a huge project that I've ended up spending the last 3 years on.

As of the last year, development has been rough and extremely slow. I could blame scope-creep, lack of a proper vision, or my own inability to execute the game's vision - but at the end of the day, I really think I'm just burnt out. The only reason I haven't stopped until now is the sunken cost fallacy. This isn't to mention problems outside of the project that have affected both my personal and dev life.

So with that in mind, I'm putting the project on an indefinite pause. I'm not sure when it will come back, but I need to take some time to take a break and dev on something else. I'm sorry to everyone who was looking forward to playing Crescent Overload soon. This project is extremely dear to me, and I wouldn't want to release something that doesn't meet mine or your expectations.
