addedSome of you might have noticed that the last four months we have not made an update, which would be odd since we patch every month. We have had people contacting us and asking what have we been up to. Well, this is it: the mother of all of our patches! So what is new? Well, first of all since the release of Crash Force we have had people going on and on about Crash Force going free to play. We have been working on a way to make this possible the last 7 months and finally today is the day that we can say: "CRASH FORCE IS FREE TO PLAY!"
addedThis is just the tip of the iceberg though. We decided to offer a lot more freedom to the way you interact with our matchmaking process. Players are now able to create their own matches and broadcast them to everybody else. That also means that you also get to pick on which match you want to enter as a player. Furthermore, no one likes it when they have to always play on the same team, so now players can switch teams between matches. We did not stop there though, players now have the freedom to create games and restrict them to their LAN, allowing only their frienemies on their LAN to enter the game created. Since Day-0 of our release you have been requesting an offline mode, and IT IS HERE! Players can now enter a match with only bots to harness their skills before entering combat with other players. Speaking of new additions, we have created a new game mode named Control The Nest. Yeap, you guessed it. It is a points contest match where the team controlling the fewer points loses points until their points reach 0. How many points are lost per second are calculated based on the difference of points controlled (i.e. the more points you control, the faster the other team will lose). The last 7 months we noticed that a very common phenomenon was players entering different game modes at different times making it impossible to have a full throttle match. We decided that in order to get the players together, it would be better to have all game modes and maps randomly rotating. That way everyone who wants to play with other players will be together and passing through different game modes and maps without having the need to go back and change their preferences. Since we were making changes, we decided to also make "some" Main Menu changes to better reflect the state of the game now and highlight some features that were not easily accessible (i.e. lootboxes). "Some" changes quickly turned into a COMPLETE MAIN MENU OVERHAUL with everything being more simple, better organised and more vibrant! We also heard your feedback about the skill tree system being too complex, confusing and somewhat repetitive and we have changed it completely as well. We added new skills and organised the old ones better to provide a more versatile and more neat gameplay.
addedFor existing players, the skillpoints that were assigned in your trees have been reset for free allowing you to choose new paths.
changedSee you in the arena. "CRASH IS IMMINENT!"

  • For all players that already had the game, before going free to play, we did not forget about you. Your loyalty has been rewarded with $50 worth of items (2 legendary lootboxes and 1 rare lootbox).
