Hey everyone,

We’ve been working on Craftia Elements with just the two of us, and today we’re excited to open the doors with a soft launch!

Now, a little honesty: there are a few small quirks and inconsistencies still hanging around. Think of them as “character” for now. 😅 We’d planned to iron them all out before anyone saw, but one of us has to step away for a bit for personal reasons. We can’t delay the launch any further, so instead of waiting, we’re inviting you in early.

That means you’ll see the game in its slightly rough-but-playable state. The good news is our feedback will directly help us polish it further.

We’re not calling it “finished” yet, just ready for you. Play, break things, tell us what’s fun and what’s frustrating. We’ll be listening and fixing as soon as we’re both back at full capacity.

🎮 Core Gameplay & Features

Sticker Mode:

  • You can create building blocks by stacking stickers, using a wide range of shapes and a curated set of materials.

  • During placement stickers can be flipped (experimental), rotated, scaled and sunken in (depth).

  • Eraser and reset.

  • Your progress can be saved manually.

World Mode:

  • Building blocks can be placed, moved, scaled, sunken in (depth), and managed in the world.

  • You can change atmospheric conditions, time of day and perception mode.

  • Your progress is saved automatically, so you can pick up right where you left off.

Third Person Mode:

  • Ability to enter and climb your creations by foot with Natalie.

  • Ability to fail.

  • Natalie can walk, run, sprint, and jump and is equipped with a torch.

Inventory:

All your creations are visible at one glance, and can be managed in one place, enabling multiple save slots for all your building blocks.

The inventory includes premade worlds and building blocks to get started with (see known issues).

💡 Visuals & Lighting

  • Fully dynamic lighting that reacts to Natalie, weather, time of day, and player-built structures.

  • Player-built creations are lit consistently without manual rebuilding.

🧱 Building & Creation

  • Designed to support large, detailed builds with high geometric complexity.

  • Creative freedom at scale, from small builds to large constructions.

⚙️ Performance & Settings

  • Performance and visual quality settings are available to scale the experience based on your hardware.

🔊 Audio

  • Ambient audio and music designed to support the game’s atmosphere.

  • Audio feedback to reinforce interaction, and movement.

  • Supports stereo.

⚠️ Known Issues

  • Sticker textures get stretched when rotated.

  • Thumbnails of worlds are not up to date when a building block is changed.

  • Thumbnails of worlds are slightly squeezed in inventory view.

  • Sky setting is not saved (only time of day).

  • Building block auto-rotation position is not saved.

  • Edit ModeDepth can only be changed once the size has been changed too.
  • Edit Mode: Depth does not have real time feedback.

  • Edit Mode: When “Align to Surface” is off, rotation doesn't work.

  • World Mode: Color change of world environment does not work currently.

  • Word mode: When base is hidden, the camera jumps to the wrong spot upon copying.

  • When an environment is loaded no postprocessing is active (only after picking one in “Perception Mode”).

  • Starter Kit: After game restart starter environments are empty if not opened in the previous session or edited.

  • When Building Blocks are mostly under water and P is pressed the camera goes under water.

  • Key guides are not fully up to date and other UI incosistancies.
