Hello, this is the CSN Team.
We'd like to give you an advance look at a new system and a system improvement coming in the May 13th patch.
Introduction of the Class Awakening System
Many of you who have enjoyed CSN for a long time have a favorite class you're attached to. However, we've consistently received feedback that players often have to give up their favorite class to use specific pairing weapons or Zombie Scenario skills, as these effects are tied to certain classes. To fix this and create an environment where you can more freely enjoy the classes you love, we are introducing the Class Awakening System.
With this system, you can convert any class's unique traits into items and equip them on any class you want. This removes class restrictions, allowing you to mix and match traits to build your own perfect loadout.
Traits are organized into 8 categories.
Zombie Scenario stats
Session bonus
In-game display information
Mode-specific buffs
Active skill
Passive skill
Add-on effects
Pairing weapon
You can equip up to 20 traits at a time, and in some categories you can equip multiple different traits at once — opening up far more customization than before. Take pairing weapons: they used to be locked at one per class, but after the update you'll be able to equip up to 5 different pairing weapon traits. We hope you'll have fun mixing different pairing weapons and finding the setup that works best for you.
We're also raising the Zombie Scenario stat cap and adding a stat reroll feature for even stronger growth than before. We hope all of you will freely build diverse and distinctive setups on the classes you love.
Weapon Modification System Improvements
The current Weapon Modification system features 6 tiers of weapons, and we know that collecting them all could feel like a grind. To ease that pressure and offer a clearer growth path, we're restructuring the system as follows.
With this improvement, modified weapons will be consolidated to 3 tiers. The "T" stands for Type, and they will be provided in 3 tiers: T1 (Unique) / T2 (Transcendent) / T3 (Legend). Special modifications of the Legend grade will be same as before.
The 6-tier weapons you already have will stay exactly the same. Only newly released weapons will use the new 3-tier system going forward. Nothing in your inventory will change, so no need to worry.
Improvements to the Legend-Grade Exclusive Effect
We felt the current Legend-grade exclusive effect (gaining a shield when health drops to 50%) wasn't impactful enough, so we're giving it a complete overhaul.
After the overhaul, up to 3 tiers of effects will be provided depending on how many Legend weapons you have.
- Tier 1When your health drops to 50% or below, you gain a shield, all movement-impairing effects are immediately removed, and you become temporarily invincible. The shield has no time limit.
Tier 2: In Zombie Mode, recover HP based on a portion of the damage you deal while using Sprint or Deadly Shot
- Tier 3Near the end of a round, your Sprint and Deadly Shot skills are refreshed so you can use them again. In Zombie Scenario, the cooldown of Transcendent-class active skills is also reduced
Higher-tier effects include the effects of lower tiers and apply to all Legend weapons. You can also check this information in the in-game tooltip.
With these improvements, we hope the Weapon Modification system becomes more streamlined and accessible for more Survivors. We also believe this will make obtaining and using Legend weapons more rewarding than ever.
More detailed information about both systems will be shared through the next patch note. We will continue striving to make Counter-Strike Nexon even more enjoyable. We kindly ask for your continued interest and anticipation. Thank you.
