  • Performance
addedHi everyone! A new version of Costa Verde has just dropped, mostly incorporating some ideas you folks suggested in the discussions. Here's a list of what's changed:
addedA new map was added - Terra Nova - which basically a flat hexagon for you to experiment with. To make things a bit more interesting, this map still has a few forests, and a river typically going through the map center (it is random, though, and can go in pretty weird paths).
addedWindowed mode is now supported, and can be selected from the video settings menu.
removedSome players suggested removing the water ripples for some extra performance, which is now also supported in the video settings.
changedI improved image format support in the game's engine, which allowed to compress the textures and get a 3x reduction in the total game installation size.

Hi everyone! A new version of Costa Verde has just dropped, mostly incorporating some ideas you folks suggested in the discussions. Here's a list of what's changed:

  • The game now runs on MacOS, on both Intel & Apple Silicon CPU. There might be some very minor visual glitches, though. The application isn't signed, so you might need to allow the system to execute it. I promise it is not a virus :)

  • A new map was added - Terra Nova - which basically a flat hexagon for you to experiment with. To make things a bit more interesting, this map still has a few forests, and a river typically going through the map center (it is random, though, and can go in pretty weird paths).

  • Windowed mode is now supported, and can be selected from the video settings menu.

  • Some players suggested removing the water ripples for some extra performance, which is now also supported in the video settings.

  • I improved image format support in the game's engine, which allowed to compress the textures and get a 3x reduction in the total game installation size.

Hope you'll enjoy this little update. Have a good day :)
