In CONTROL Resonant, New Game+ lets you start a fresh run while carrying over much of your progression from your first playthrough, including Aberrant upgrades, unlocked supernatural combat abilities, Talents, Artifacts, and health and combat resource upgrades.
The idea behind New Game+ is not simply to become stronger, but to give players more room to experiment with builds and combat combinations that weren’t possible in your first run.
As you progress through New Game+, you’ll unlock additional talent nodes and gain more flexibility in how combat abilities can be combined, including equipping multiple abilities from the same Resonant boss. You’ll also unlock a fourth Artifact slot, opening up more ways to customize your build and adapt to different situations.
Artifacts are equippable modifiers that can affect combat, survivability, exploration, and more - often with conditions or trade-offs that encourage different playstyles. You’ll discover untapped Artifacts throughout the world and craft them in the Gap, the dreamlike metaphysical space connected to Dylan’s psyche.
Manhattan itself continues to evolve. Enemies grow more dangerous, encounters shift, and some Resonants can behave differently depending on how and when you face them. A strategy that worked before may not work the same way the next time around.
Returning to Manhattan is also an opportunity to uncover things you may have missed the first time, from World Quests and Bounties to collectibles, side stories, and different outcomes in certain conversations and World Quests.
We’re excited to see the different builds and playstyles players discover once they step back into Manhattan.
CONTROL Resonant releases in 2026.
