Container Terminal Simulator changes
Devlog #4
Hello everyone!
Summer 2026 is here. A major update has already been released, the Steam Summer Sale is in full swing, and it's time for another development update.
First of all, I want to sincerely thank everyone who continues to support Container Terminal Simulator. Your feedback, suggestions, and encouragement are what keep this project moving forward with every update.
Today, I'm excited to share some important news.
🚂 Version 1.0 Is on the Horizon
After many months of development, Container Terminal Simulator is entering its final stage before leaving Early Access.
The full Version 1.0 is currently planned for mid-September 2026.
Originally, Early Access was expected to last around six months. However, as development progressed, the project grew far beyond its initial scope. Rather than rushing the release, I chose to invest more time into expanding the gameplay, improving stability, and delivering a much more complete experience.
During Early Access, the game has received:
Multiple types of specialized container handling vehicles;
Terminal progression and expansion systems;
An economic simulation;
Automated container cranes;
New fictional logistics companies;
Double-stack container trains;
Dynamic day & night cycle;
Numerous gameplay, physics, UI, and performance improvements;
Dozens of bug fixes and quality-of-life updates.
And there's still more to come.
⚙️ What's Planned for Version 1.0
The focus before release is no longer on frequent updates, but on delivering the most polished and complete version of the game.
Current development includes:
📦 Opening containers;
🏭 A cargo sorting terminal with pallet handling;
🚛 Automated transport platforms;
🎨 Corporate vehicle color customization;
💰 Equipment leasing system;
🎵 Additional background music;
🌦 Dynamic weather conditions;
🛢 New cargo types, including steel coils;
🖥 A completely redesigned user interface;
🎙 Expanded voice guidance throughout the game.
Some features may be adjusted or postponed if necessary to ensure the highest possible quality and stability for Version 1.0.
🚀 Beyond Early Access
Version 1.0 will not mark the end of development.
Instead, it will become the foundation for future updates, new content, gameplay improvements, and continued expansion of the terminal.
My goal is to create a simulation that players will enjoy returning to for years to come.
Thank you once again for your incredible support throughout this journey.
See you in the next Devlog!
— Tikam
P.S. The next Devlog will most likely be the final one before the release of Version 1.0. I hope to share some of the new gameplay systems currently in development.
