Conquest 1.9.0 is OUT! As of today, Conquest version 1.9.0 has officially launched and boy do we have an update for you! Here’s a list of some of the highlights from this update: Conquest no longer uses stock music.

addedConquest 1.9.0 is OUT!We radically overhauled the games balancing. You can now level up your attack damage, gain spells without a spellbook, select your own upgrades after completing quests (Instead of having them randomly assigned to you), gave potions a new lease on life, made it so you can enter doors, ‘Awareness’ now helps you avoid traps and ambushes, and you can even use keys to (finally) unlock locks!
addedConquest 1.9.0 is OUT!You asked and we listened! There are now mid to late game challenges for players with higher stats including a new structure: “The Lair.” 9 Rooms, 1 Mini-Boss, 1 Treasure! We also added 6 ‘Villager Side-Quests’ to the speech menu too! Gameplay Handicaps have been added to the lobby as well as quest selection, Riddles have been upgraded to be more logical and streamlined, weather has been introduced as well as particles for rain and snow, and lastly, you now have your own player-avatar that you can customize in 8 different colors!

Such as skipping dead players during combat, correcting volume issues with explosives, and we even rebuilt the quest and biome generation systems from the ground up to ensure ‘biome bleeding’ and quests generating on the opposite end of the map don’t occur on the main map!

Here is the full list of changes:

  • BUG FIX: Weather and random encounters were not running

  • BUG FIX: Lore speech was not playing 80% of the time

  • BUG FIX: Cherry Bomb Explosion sounds were too loud

  • BUG FIX: Explosives were not dealing damage in combat

  • BUG FIX: Biome Soundtracks stopped playing after combat

  • BUG FIX: Combat die kept rolling after combat completed

  • BUG FIX: Gongol could be deleted by speaking to him

  • BUG FIX: NPC personalities would change when using the escape menu

  • BUG FIX: Saving and exiting to Lobby caused a black screen

  • BUG FIX: Pressing spacebar when the party dies sometimes got stuck

  • BUG FIX: Cards would overlap each other - covering other cards up

  • BUG FIX: Surprise encounters caused mismatched combat tile behavior

  • BUG FIX: “Biome Bleeding” occurred and soundtracks would mix

  • BUG FIX: Dead party members could still attack in combat

  • BUG FIX: Building Buttons would get stuck

  • BUG FIX: Quest Objectives spawned too far away from player

  • BUG FIX: ‘Retreat’ not working on bosses

  • BUG FIX: The Magical Chance Cube was not working properly

  • NERFAdded a handful of new (secret) mechanics to the Magical Chance Cube
  • NERF: Eliminated bosses in random encounters

  • NERFAdded ‘Might’ to the skill deck: +30 ATK. (Replacing Health Boost)
  • NERF: Set maximum (natural) damage to 550 and maximum HP to 1000

  • NERF: Scrolls, Enchanted Bread, Necklaces, Goblets, & Pardons grant +1 Spells

  • NERF: Players can select what abilities to level up at the end of quests

  • NERF: ‘Awareness Ability’ no longer displays more “detail cards.”

  • NERF: ‘Awareness Ability’ now helps avoid traps and monster ambushes

  • NERF: When the entire party is over 400 HP, the monsters become harder

  • NERF: Quest fights get 3 tries. After that, they reset

  • Added red text for dead party members and a message stating they are dead

  • Added functionality to Potions of ‘Skill,’ ‘Lore,’ ‘Magic,’ and ‘Immortal’
