Community Button v2.0.00 — Living Pet Economy Update

A major new update has been released for Community Button.

This update introduces the foundation for a much larger pet economy system, powered by Steam Inventory items, live global tracking, improved pet progression balance, and more player-facing information across the game.

This is the biggest backend updates Community Button has received so far, opening up massive potential.

Major Pet Economy Upgrade

Pets, eggs, egg shards, Egg Catalysts, and more now live inside your Steam Inventory!

Community Button now tracks a much deeper player-owned item economy, including both the current living quantity and the lifetime earned total for supported item categories across the entire community.

This means you no longer have to guess how rare your catch was.

The game can now track things like:

• How many Slimes currently exist

• How many rare pets have ever been hatched

• How many Egg Catalysts exist

• How many eggs and shards have been earned

• How many pets have been consumed through tier-ups

• How rare your own pet, egg, or item actually is

These totals are alive.

As players hatch pets, consume duplicates, tier up pets, earn shards, use catalysts, and interact with the economy, the rarity of items can shift over time.

In other words: rarity is no longer just a static number.

It can change based on how the community plays.

This is the foundation for a much larger item and pet system, with more item types coming soon.

Social Economy Messages

Discord and other community messages can be sent when major economy events happen.

Examples could include:

• A player hatching a rare pet

• A major community pet milestone being reached

• 1,000 Slimes hatched

• Rare economy events

• Community-wide item milestones

Players will be able to opt out of name-based social messages.

Anonymous posting will be the default, so players can still be part of community milestones without having their name shown.

2.5 Billion Click Milestone Tease

The next major community milestone is coming at 2.5 billion clicks.

And this one is not just another number.

Daily Challenge Timer

The Daily Challenge UI now shows the time remaining until the next reset.

This should make it much clearer when new daily progress becomes available.

Recent Actions Banner

A new recent actions icon banner has been added above the main button on the home screen.

This gives better visibility into recent activity, with tooltip hover information for extra details.

Shop UI Improvements

The shop UI has been reworded and adjusted to make room for new categories, boosts, and future content.

More shop updates are coming soon.

Better Player Communication

Many more player-friendly error notices have been added.

Instead of confusing or silent issues, the game should now do a better job explaining what happened when something needs attention.

Pet EXP Balance Changes

Pet EXP requirements have been reduced.

Previously, each tier required 3x the previous tier’s EXP.

This has now been reduced to 2x.

This should make pet progression feel smoother while still keeping higher tiers meaningful.

Pet Tier-Up Duplicate Requirement Rebalance

Duplicate pet requirements for tier-ups have been rebalanced across all rarities.

Common

Tier-up requirements:

Tier-up requirements:

This update is a massive step toward making Community Button’s pet system feel more alive, connected, and community-driven.

Every pet hatched, every duplicate consumed, every catalyst used, and every milestone reached now has the potential to shape the wider economy.

The button is growing.

The economy is alive.

And the next major milestone is getting closer.
