Hello everyone! Our first offical update has just dropped! It's a minor one for now, but we wanted to get the ball rolling!

changedGameplayWe've speed up Comet's horizontal and vertical walking animations to move around the map quicker; the main issue we heard from beta testers was that it felt too sluggish.
fixedBug fixesThe "Medkit!" text that shows up when you collect them now fades out gradually instead of just disappearing.
addedBug fixesThe boss area entrance gate used to remain open after beating the game and starting a new one. Now it'll be closed properly.

Our first offical update has just dropped! It's a minor one for now, but we wanted to get the ball rolling!

Here are the changes:

Graphics

We're starting an overhaul to the game's overall art style, starting with the game's title and followed by most of the trees you'll see just about everywhere!

Gameplay

We've speed up Comet's horizontal and vertical walking animations to move around the map quicker; the main issue we heard from beta testers was that it felt too sluggish.

Bug fixes

  • The "Medkit!" text that shows up when you collect them now fades out gradually instead of just disappearing.

  • The boss area entrance gate used to remain open after beating the game and starting a new one. Now it'll be closed properly.

  • At the end of the boss sphere presentation cutscene the camera used to snap back to the player, it now stays focused on the sphere as the scene fades out, as it was meant to.

Background / Engine

On the techincal side we've make a number of background / engine improvements including:

  • Better, more accurate error logging throughout the entire game to better help us keep track and debug any issues you might run into

  • Audio bugs will not crash the game any longer; you will be able to continue to play but you might have to mute the game if it starts misbehaving.
