addedThis month we've been polishing the game and designing a brand-new feature, Encyclopedia ! It keeps track of everything you've discovered, from your alien customers and their favorite drinks to the ingredients needed to craft them and the planets where you can find them.
addedWe've redesigned and polished the UI! You can now enjoy a fresh new planet selection screen, as well as a completely updated interface for creating your café menu.
addedThanks to all the great feedback we've received, we've started sketching out a new direction for both our kitchen and our planet environments. These are still early concepts, but they're helping us shape a world that feels more immersive and full of personality. We can't wait to bring these ideas to life!
addedWe also created some concept art for a new feature we'd love to implement in the future: the Lobby !
addedOur Liquid Cooker machine got an update, it is now split into two machines, one that cooks, and another that is used for switching liquids that go through pipes to the cooker. The Liquid Cooker can now spill liquid from the cup if it is left for too long, which requires the player to wipe up the mess with a mop before picking up the cup.
changedOur Items UI has been improved, making it easier to see what is in the cup and which player is holding it.

The Lobby is where your customers will arrive. Here, you'll be able to greet them, take their orders, and decorate the space with unique items you've collected during your travels across the galaxy. We want it to feel like a cozy, personalized space that reflects your adventures.

Our Liquid Cooker machine got an update, it is now split into two machines, one that cooks, and another that is used for switching liquids that go through pipes to the cooker. The Liquid Cooker can now spill liquid from the cup if it is left for too long, which requires the player to wipe up the mess with a mop before picking up the cup.

Our Items UI has been improved, making it easier to see what is in the cup and which player is holding it.

We also improved controller support with the UI scheme layout now changing depending on what device the player is using.

We’ve made a lot of under-the-hood improvements this month, including refactoring core systems and improving the game’s architecture to support smoother and more scalable development. What started as a prototype is now being scaled toward a full game.

Since we are preparing for alpha, we are working on full onboarding and tutorial systems to provide you with the best possible experience.

Stay silly,

Marokai and Lilith, Team Anoxic 🦝
