This update improves how the game feels during play, especially when levels expand between stages.
Floors now animate more smoothly during stage changes, the robot fades during transitions instead of popping into place, robots move faster, and the UI now supports selectable themes. The early campaign flow has also been cleaned up with clearer stages and less repetitive prompting.
Major Additions
Smoother Stage Transitions
Stage expansions now use smoother floor drop, fade, resize, and return animations. The robot also fades during these moments, making level changes feel much less abrupt.
New Floor Depth Visuals
Grid floors now have visible side depth, giving stages a stronger physical shape and making expanded layouts easier to read.
(Custom) UI Theme Support
A new theme system has been added, including theme selection in Settings, saved theme preferences, code editor and console theme support, and handling for custom theme files.
Gameplay & Feel Improvements
Robots now move faster across Slow, Balanced, and Fast presets.
Command delays have been reduced for snappier code runs.
Cleaning and sensing functions are now unlocked by default.
The first five campaign stages have been simplified and reworded. More to come in later updates
Code Editor & UI Improvements
Middle-click supported function references in the code editor to open wiki documentation.
The recommended tutorial warning no longer appears after the initial stage has already been completed.
Theme tinting now applies more consistently across the hole UI.
Fixes & Polish
Improved dirt placement and particle rendering consistency.
Improved floor and robot shader fading during transitions.
Improved behavior when code is running during stage expansion.
Improved theme fallback and validation behavior.
