fixedThis is the first major update for the game, focused on expanding crafting and resource gathering. We also added lanterns to help light the way through dark places, improved user experiance, updated UI, added more content and fixed bugs.
changedGathering resourcesWe updated resource gathering. Previously, resources were gathered by hand. Now, some resources require specific tools, such as pickaxes for ore and minerals, axes for wood, and hammers for salvage. Plants and mushrooms can still be gathered without equipment.
addedCrafting stationsWe added new crafting stations. As you may already know, some simple items can be crafted without a crafting station, but most require one.
addedCrafting stationsCrafting stations cannot be built by the player. Instead, they can be found throughout the world. With the new stations, players can process leather, smelt ore, create timber, and more.
addedBlueprintsWe added books that contain multiple blueprints. At the beginning of the game, the player receives a survival book with several simple but useful blueprints.
changedBlueprintsAdditional books can be purchased from traders depending on their specialization. For example, blacksmiths sell weapon books, leatherworkers sell armor books, innkeepers sell cooking books, and ports sell airship upgrade books.

Gathering resources

We updated resource gathering. Previously, resources were gathered by hand. Now, some resources require specific tools, such as pickaxes for ore and minerals, axes for wood, and hammers for salvage. Plants and mushrooms can still be gathered without equipment.

Tools used for gathering can also be used in combat, although they may not be very effective weapons.

Crafting stations

We added new crafting stations. As you may already know, some simple items can be crafted without a crafting station, but most require one.

Crafting stations cannot be built by the player. Instead, they can be found throughout the world. With the new stations, players can process leather, smelt ore, create timber, and more.

Blueprints

We added books that contain multiple blueprints. At the beginning of the game, the player receives a survival book with several simple but useful blueprints.

Additional books can be purchased from traders depending on their specialization. For example, blacksmiths sell weapon books, leatherworkers sell armor books, innkeepers sell cooking books, and ports sell airship upgrade books.

Unique books and blueprints can still be found as loot in chests or dropped by enemies.

We also updated the crafting panel to display blueprint categories more clearly.

Lanterns

Caves and dungeons tend to be quite dark, so we added several lanterns that players can craft or buy. Lanterns can be turned on and off, and they slowly degrade with use. Below are screenshots without and with lantern.

Map

We updated the map to display nearby resources. Different icons are now used for each resource category.

Airship Upgrades

We changed airship upgrades a bit. Now, everything is in percentages instead of fixed values. Airship statistics now show difference between current airship and selected airship in Shipyard and difference between default airship values and total upgraded values in Upgrade and Airship panels.
