Clossure changes
As shown in the trailer, the full game launches tomorrow! Or at least it would- Now, thing is it might actually take 3-5 business days for Steam to actually approve the build.
I'm also having some issues getting the game to actually be updated on my end. I, of course, can already play the game through Steam since I'm the developer so I get special access, and my version isn't updating for some reason, even though I think I'm doing everything correctly?
This stuff is actually REALLY complicated and there's like 5 different publish buttons for different things and all sorts of stuff- so I could just be doing something stupid. It also might sort itself out all on it's own, not sure.
At any rate, the full version of Chapter 1 will launch very very soon.
So, let's talk about some other let downs, shall we? XD There's some bonus content I had hoped to add to the game but frankly, I'm going to be putting that off for now. That WILL be coming in a future update though, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, there's still lots to explore in the base game of Chapter 1, and a sort of secret "ending" as well!
Speaking of which, what are the plans for future chapters? I'm glad I asked that question! Sort of? Because the answer is, probably in a couple years. I'm planning to focus on finishing GUIDANCE before I start on Chapter 2 of Clossure, and that will probably be at least a year and a half from now. That being said, don't let that hold you back from playing the game now!
Each chapter is somewhat of a self-contained story, with it's own arc and narrative. They all string together to tell a larger story of your journey to the HILL, but they still stand on their own (building on the last of course). Personally, I actually almost cried writing one of the final scenes of this chapter, so I think that means I did something right?
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the game when it fully releases, and sorry for some of the inconveniences I mentioned above. Including the one I forgot to mention, that being the that Steam Achievements will be a little late. Guys, believe me I tried, making Steam Achievements work for an RM game is a fecking nightmare I'm not even joking all of the sources are a million years old and confusing af :)
I'll get it working eventually! As soon as possible, since there's a lot of fun achievement ideas I have and also they'll help to hint at some of the secrets and easter eggs you can find in the game!
Also, if you have any ideas for achievements I can add, lemme know, and I might add them! The hurdle here is getting the game to talk to steam, so adding more individual achievements after that should be very easy!
