Version 0.2576 highlights
Includes global lobby and room chat so you can talk to friends whilst waiting
New UI layout and level art
Updated visuals including this new hand-made stop-motion explosion!
Many bug fixes and balancing tweaks
Details:
Fixed pass-through bugs letting you climb out of the level
Bombs and other pickups have less time to glance a platform before hitting a player and still doing damage
KO player bomb drops have been rebalanced and timings adjusted depending on the number of KO'd players
Spawn points are slightly jittered to prevent crazy bomb stacking
Players can no longer join a full room
Dialog popup and handling of network disconnects (this is an initial solution, in future we'll try rejoining the current game automatically)
You can now jump whilst aiming with the mouse (!)
Ticker log correctly identifies melee weapons
Fixed broken portrait UI
Fixed players not dying properly in the tractor level
Fixed tutorial sprite icons
Changed character selection method to use shoulder buttons/bumpers
New rare [REDACTED] weapon
Rooms now have a status badge making it easier to see when a game is ready to start or in progress
New UI skin and more consistent input (still WIP)
Lobby and room chat API additions
Optimised input traffic by 3x
Rooms can only exist once unless full, making it easier for one person to start a game
New built-in room "Brawl Central" with randomised level selection that scales with the number of players
Better death handling when falling off the tractor
