Greetings Climbers! We have decided to help you with some Climber common questions based on opinions, reviews, and general discussion between players which already played the game:

  • What type of game is Climber? Climber: Sky is the Limit is a walking simulation game with some survival elements. You as a player become a winter climber whose goal is to push the summit. Mountains that are present in-game are only eight-thousanders that actually exist.

  • Simulation and survival elements - how come? A walking simulator is based on some physical aspects of life. While pushing the summit you need to balance parameters like stamina, hunger, etc. Each mechanic plays a certain role in the game and players need to be aware of any unexpected situation.

  • Can I start an expedition without any preparation and climbing equipment? No. Before starting the game you need to choose the necessary equipment and balance your backpack. Maintaining your additional weight in this game matters.

  • How many mountains can I expect in the game? There is one tutorial mountain and five real ones - Manaslu, Cho-Oyu, Gasherbrum, K2, and Mount Everest.

  • Why are there only 5 mountains available? We planned to deliver lots of mechanics and content for those 5 mountains, so we focused more on polishing existing peaks than adding more mountains with no exciting content.

  • Is there any chance to add more content to this game in the future? Currently, our main goal is to fix and polish all issues posted by the players after release. But we are analyzing all possible ways to improve the gameplay and further development.

  • What about saving the game while climbing a certain mountain? The Gameplay core is between starting an expedition and pushing the summit. There is no option to save the game between those points. So when you start the expedition you have two options - push the summit or fail on the way up!

  • Is there a multiplayer or coop mode? For now, Climber: Sky is the Limit is Single-player only, however, you can compete with your friends on the Leaderboards. There is one for each in-game mountain, measuring the summit times, as well as, additional oxygen use.

  • Is this a more relaxing game based on climbing skills or I can speedrun to get the best mountain time? You can experience both - either enjoy some deep, mountaineer mechanics or you can compete with others in order to achieve the best possible time in Leaderboards among other players. Climbing mechanics are pretty simple thus everyone can play this game.

  • Mouse and keyboard or controller support? Currently, you can play only with a mouse and keyboard. But we are thinking about adding controller support.

  • What is the role of Leaderboards? This feature was developed based on players' feedback. Some of you would like to challenge yourself to get the best possible result on each mountain. Timing and planning in this kind of gameplay are very important.

  • What about supporting Climber after its release? Climber support is planned from a long-term perspective. Since the release, we have already delivered two patches based on players' feedback on Steam or our Discord dedicated channel. In the near future, we plan to deliver more as soon as players find some issues or suggest ideas to boost the gameplay.

  • How many languages does the game support? We have 12 languages in the game - English, French, German, Spanish - Spain, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Hungarian, Japanese, Portuguese - Brazil, Italian,
