changedWe have released a critical update to address the startup crash issue reported by some users (specifically the [c]0x80070005 - Access is denied[/c] error related to fullscreen settings).
addedNew Feature: Safe Mode (Emergency Reset) If your game is crashing immediately upon launch or is stuck in an unsupported resolution/fullscreen mode, you can now force a reset:
addedThe game will detect this input, force Windowed Mode (1280x720), and automatically save these safe settings. This automatic save ensures that Steam Cloud recognizes the new file as the most recent version, preventing it from re-downloading the corrupted settings.
fixedFixed: Addressed an issue where exclusive fullscreen mode could cause a crash loop on certain hardware configurations due to Windows permission conflicts.
fixedFixed: Steam Cloud synchronization conflict that caused deleted save files to be restored with the crash-inducing settings.

  1. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard.

  2. Launch the game while keeping SHIFT held down.

  3. The game will detect this input, force Windowed Mode (1280x720), and automatically save these safe settings.
