addedLong time no see humans! Happy New Year! With the new year upon us we are fully aware it’s been far to long since we’ve done a formal update and we know you’ve been waking up every morning eagerly refreshing your Steam pages and Twitter feed looking for some sort of indication as to what the heck is going on with Clash Cup. We have an answer for you… A LOT. Though we haven’t been as active as we’d like on social media, our team has been hard at work getting CCT ready to go out the door. So hold on to your controller because we are about to unload some serious updates! One of which we know you are REALLY going to like… (If you don’t want to read all of this scroll to the bottom for the summary) Training Mode Is Done! We introduced Training mode in a previous post, and after thorough testing and a long “tour” on the convention circuit, we’ve crossed it off the list and officially packed it in as part of the game. Cup Mode Is In! When we started out with this project we promised fun, fast, and frantic multiplayer experiences with a solid single player experience for when you just can’t find a Clash buddy. We’re proud to announce we’ve done just that by creating Cup Mode! As we mentioned when we announced Training mode, this will be an opportunity to hone your skills and earn trophies by playing the AI on a series of stages and difficulties. This feature is nearly done, and will make its debut on the convention circuit in January. Winners and Losers A big part of the Clash Cup experience is that big win moment so we’ve added an all new “MATCH OVER” results screen complete with “Replay and “Exit” buttons. The results Screen is also utilized in the Single player Cup and Training mode alongside the “LOSE” screen which will no doubt leave you wanting sweet revenge! Stage Art Final Pass While building out the remaining features we’ve revisited, revamped and polished some of the stage art to include new assets, animations and themes for a more cohesive look and style. Turbo Overhaul Not all but most of the Turbos have been updated in some way. They are still mechanically the same Turbos you know and love, but we upgraded the aesthetics and tweaked them for balance. If that isn’t enough for you we also turned up the hype knob and gave the characters a new glow to indicate “turbo ready” along with a street fighter style action portrait that fires during turbo activation. And one more thing… You told us what you wanted, and we heard you. We’re proud to announce ONLINE FRIEND PLAY. This new feature will allow you to play ONLINE with players in your friend list (hence “Friend Play”). It’s not a full on match making service, that’s probably down the road, but you and other Clash Cuppers will be able to host a game locally on your machine and invite other people with the game to play in multiplayer matches and take advantage of EVERYTHING the Multiplayer mode has to offer. One thing to note: this feature in still in the intermediate stages of development but right now is planned to roll out with version 1.0. (Sorry no pics for this yet) Wrap Up See? All of your patience is paying off! (At least we hope you feel that way) But we’re sure you are still wondering “WHEN is it going to come out?” We can’t give a solid answer to that question right now, but we expect we will know soon. The game is now FEATURE complete and we are polishing it up for release. Friend Play is a pretty big undertaking to implement and as per the above we want to launch with it ready to go but we have established an internal deadline for when we would like that to be done. If that deadline is not met, we will premier the feature in v1.1 after a 1.0 launch of the game with single and local multiplayer. What’s next for CCT Clash Cup Turbo will be appearing at MAGFest 2018 with all the new features outlined above alongside our next game “The Impeccable Picaro”! So if you are going to the show or are in the area look for us at MAGFest and play the latest, greatest, almost done, nobody wants it finished more than us, build of CLASH CUP TURBO! Summary - Training Mode is Complete! - Cup Mode is In! - Win Screen - Lose Screen - Stage Art Refresh - Turbo Overhauls - And last but not least the much requested online play- Introducing Friend Play! - Feature complete. We are solidly in the polish phase and outside of bugs and networking cleanup we are very near release. - CCT and our next game Picaro will be at MAGFest 2018
