City Car Driving 2.0 changes
Over the past week since launch, we have gathered your feedback and prepared a batch of fixes.
These patch notes detail exactly what has been fixed and updated in the game.
Major new features, including the "Sandbox" mode, are currently in development and will be released as separate, substantial updates in the near future.
GAMEPLAY
— Driving Range Exercises. We have completely removed the timer so you can complete the exercises at your own pace.
Once the full-fledged Driving School is added to the game, the timer will return, but it will only affect your final rating for the exercise rather than determining whether you pass or fail.
— "Family Business" Mission. To avoid confusion when searching for the required resources, only quest-related items are now active during this mission. All other goods are locked and cannot be interacted with.
— Speed Control. The speed limit tolerance threshold was not properly configured at launch. We have adjusted the speeding penalty system.
Driving Test Rules:
Exceeding the 40 km/h limit by even 1 km/h results in 5 penalty points and an automatic fail.
Exceeding the 50 km/h limit by even 1 km/h results in 5 penalty points and an automatic fail.
Free Roam Rules:
Exceeding the limit by 1–5 km/h: Warning issued.
Exceeding the limit by 6–20 km/h: Standard fine issued.
- Exceeding the limit by 21–40 km/hIncreased fine issued (for exceeding by more than 20 km/h).
- Exceeding the limit by 41–70 km/hIncreased fine issued (for exceeding by more than 40 km/h).
Exceeding the limit by 71 km/h or more: Maximum fine issued (for exceeding by more than 70 km/h).
CONTROLS AND UNPUT DEVICES
— Leaving the Service Station. Fixed a UI bug: you can now resume driving after a service station visit using a keyboard key or gamepad button; clicking with the mouse is no longer required.
— Gamepad Vibration. Fixed a bug causing infinite controller vibration after a vehicle rollover. The vibration effect now triggers only upon impact or rollover and stops correctly.
— Fixed an issue with supported steering wheels not being recognized during the first game launch.
— For the Thrustmaster T300, also fixed a bug that caused the wheel to lock at its maximum rotation angle on startup.
— Moza Racing Wheels. Added a pre-configured preset to Moza Pit House to resolve the force feedback conflict. Download
LOCALIZATION AND TEXT
— In the German localization, the text for the "Food" resource name was overflowing the UI bounds. It now displays correctly.
— When creating a save file, the default file name was always in Russian, regardless of the selected language. Fixed: the save name now automatically matches the current game language.
— The navigator at the "Atelier" shop was incorrectly displaying the description for the "Grocery Market". This mix-up has been resolved, and descriptions now correctly match their respective locations.
GRAPHIC AND UI
— During rain or on wet asphalt, the road surface around the player's car remained dry. Wet road effects now render correctly.
— Pedestrian crosswalks were not visible on low graphics settings. This issue is fixed: road markings are now visible at all quality settings.
— When the energy level dropped to 0% and the fatigue state triggered, the camera would start shaking, but the visual "blinking" effect was missing. Fatigue visual effects now work as intended.
— After changing the color of the Hangug Eclauto, the rearview mirror in first-person view still displayed the old color. Fixed: the car's color in the mirrors now updates correctly.
— The custom UI scale was resetting after restarting the game. Your UI scale settings are now saved and applied correctly.
— Objects in certain locations had incorrect scaling. Their sizes now correctly match the game world and the player model.
— Particle effects were not spawning from under the wheels of the Ulgares Groverolf while driving. These effects now display correctly.
— In some areas, the ripple effects from raindrops hitting puddles on the road were unnaturally large. We've fixed this so you can fully enjoy the rainy weather!
GENERAL BUGS AND CRASHES
— For some players, the game was crashing with the error "The UE-City Car Driving 2 Game has crashed and will...". This issue has been resolved.
