addedNEW WEAPONSEnjoy two powerful new weapons... the Scattergun and the Six Shooter.
changedNEW WEAPONSThese will replace the Flintlock and Street Sweeper respectively if you turn on "Alt Weapons" on the difficulty selection screen, but you can still use both the Flintlock and Street Sweeper by hitting the corresponding weapon selection key twice.
changedBETTER DAGGERA bit, at least. The dagger now attacks slightly faster and does slightly more damage, allowing you to consistently one-shot low level enemies (i.e the annoying brown ones) and better deflect projectiles.
changedCHOKE UPGRADE NOW IN MAIN LEVELSThe Street Sweeper's choke upgrade, previously found only in the bonus levels, can now be acquired in the original campaign as well. I don't actually remember where I put it though. Someone let me know.
changedTHE GAME RUNS BETTERMost of you will probably have to take my word for it, but Chop Goblins should run better on lower end machines now, thanks to a collection of different optimizations and tweaks under the hood.
addedCELEBRATE ONE YEAR OF MURDERING CHOP GOBLINSI wanted to try getting maybe a bonus level and/or a free release of all the game assets done as part of this update also, but I just didn't end up having the time with the new baby and all. But hopefully you enjoy the new weapons, and jumping back in to celebrate one year of wholesale goblin slaughter. While Chop Goblins isn't the most successful, the deepest, or the best game I've made, it's one I'm extremely fond of, and I've enjoyed supporting it with new content and fixes. Only time will tell what else the future holds for the goblins...

Chop Goblins is (almost) one year old!
Well, technically it will be one year old on December 12th, but that's two days after both Dusk and Doom are having big anniversary milestones so... we're doing a Chop Goblins anniversary celebration today instead!
Here's what the Anniversary Update brings to the game...
NEW WEAPONS
Enjoy two powerful new weapons... the Scattergun and the Six Shooter.
These will replace the Flintlock and Street Sweeper respectively if you turn on "Alt Weapons" on the difficulty selection screen, but you can still use both the Flintlock and Street Sweeper by hitting the corresponding weapon selection key twice.
Which means that it is now both easy and effective to quickswap between all six weapons, if you want to try playing Chop Goblins like it's Doom Eternal. You should, it's fun.
BETTER DAGGER
A bit, at least. The dagger now attacks slightly faster and does slightly more damage, allowing you to consistently one-shot low level enemies (i.e the annoying brown ones) and better deflect projectiles.
CHOKE UPGRADE NOW IN MAIN LEVELS
The Street Sweeper's choke upgrade, previously found only in the bonus levels, can now be acquired in the original campaign as well. I don't actually remember where I put it though. Someone let me know.
THE GAME RUNS BETTER
Most of you will probably have to take my word for it, but Chop Goblins should run better on lower end machines now, thanks to a collection of different optimizations and tweaks under the hood.
CELEBRATE ONE YEAR OF MURDERING CHOP GOBLINS
I wanted to try getting maybe a bonus level and/or a free release of all the game assets done as part of this update also, but I just didn't end up having the time with the new baby and all. But hopefully you enjoy the new weapons, and jumping back in to celebrate one year of wholesale goblin slaughter.
