Chompy Chomp Chomp Party changes
- The Thinghero
It’s been a long time coming. After a stretch of burnout and needing to focus on other work and our family, we’ve had a burst of creativity again. We’ve poured this energy into an update that completely transforms the game, adding things we’ve wanted for ages.
We really hope you love it.
Introducing tournaments
Finally tournaments are here. Now you can set up a series of matches!
Battle it out for the first to win 2, 3, 5 trophies.
Sudden Death tie break to settle things once and for all.
Select the modes you want to appear in the tournament.
Random level selection or you can choose.
See your trophies stacked up at the end of each game.
Brand New Power Up
The slow-motion power-up, slows everyone else down. A weight appears above their heads to slow them down. The better they’re doing, the longer they’re stuck in slo-mo.
Power Up Customisation
You can now choose the mood of your game with power-up customisation.
Some of you love the chaos. Some of you like a more tactical approach. Now you can set power-ups to match how you want to play.
Chilled – Smooth and steady with core power-ups only.
Tense – Tactical choices, every move matters.
Chaotic – Total mayhem with all power-ups in play.
Turbo – Fast and unstoppable, all about speed and invincibility.
Dangerous – Risky and unpredictable, not for the faint-hearted.
Messy – A wild and messy floor to navigate with high-frequency power-ups that you drop.
Lucky – Multipliers, speed boosts, and invincibility—see what fate has in store.
Tricky – A sneaky mix of strategy and disruption.
Off – Turn off all power ups, for the purists!
Huge Change to Ghost Mode
We've completely overhauled Ghost Mode, and it's changed the game. Instead of just disappearing, you now turn into a ghost and hide among a swarm of 'ghost chompies.' It shifts the mode from a simple evasion mechanic to a tense, strategic mind game. You never quite know who's real until it's too late. It's faster, funnier, and has lead to some of the most chaotic, scream-worthy moments we've had yet.
Other improvements…
A title and description of the mode pops up at the beginning of each game.
The helper arrow in Cake Mode now points to the nearest cake.
The camera now keeps track of spawning Mega Moogy power-ups in Mega Moogy mode.
Power-ups in Keep the Thing mode now appear higher up above the player, so they don’t get lost.
A pause bug has been fixed, so power-ups won’t time out while the game is paused.
Fixed the bug where the number of controllers is more than number of players, and controllers are used out of order (for example 2 player game using controllers 1 and 3) breaks the game!
Bug fixed with sudden death mode where the target was stuck flashing.
Fixed bug where a light setting wasn't being applied to generated levels.
Select a random level on level select with a button press.
Time for Mega Moogy Sandwich power up being activated is now weighted to be active for less time for those ahead in points.
Different coloured berries on similar cupcakes in cake mode to make it easier to distinguish them.
Igloo on the igloo level is now more see through.
Bubble power up collision and bouncing has been improved.
