Over the past several weeks we have pushed out a massive biome update and several fixes for various bugs, and today we’re changing a game mechanic in your favor! You now have the option of choosing your animal power right from the start!

Harness the abilities of four distinct animal powers, each offering a completely different way to dominate the battlefield. Whether you prefer raw aggression, calculated strikes, tactical velocity, or defensive endurance, you can select your favorite from Dr. Cobb in the very first starting. And, your soldier will change to the animal’s tailored armor to match!

Lion – Explode on demand.

Playstyle Focus: Aggressive enemy clearing Best For: Players who thrive in chaos

Core Traits:

• High damage output

• Biggest area of effect

• Can hit through platforms

If you have ever wanted to feel what being a nuclear bomb is like, Lion is for you! Invade the personal space of aliens and let it rip like throwing bodies is your favorite Olympic sport. Stun the bigger enemies to gain the upper hand by creating your own window of opportunity to deliver a final blow.

Bat – Mobility with damage.

Playstyle Focus: Being fast as fuck Best For: Players who relish movement

Core Traits:

• High vertical mobility

• Area of effect on the go

• Shortest cooldown timer

The Bat is perfect for those who can’t sit still, adding a third jump coupled with a burst damage AoE. No platform is too high, no room too big, be anywhere in a second. The enemy can’t track you if you’re moving faster than they can aim.

Fox – Bowling for aliens.

Playstyle Focus: Max damage in minimal time Best For: Players who execute with precision

Core Traits:

• High lateral mobility

• Unstoppable dash damage

• Tactical repositioning

Do you like throwing yourself throat-first into danger? Then Fox is the perfect fit for you. Find the opportunity to strike or flee from a dangerous situation, especially during boss fights. When you knock down those in your way, finish them off before they can recover.

Snail – Bastion for beginners.

Playstyle Focus: Defense and sustained survival Best For: Players who outlast rather than overwhelm

Core Traits:

• Strong shield defense

• Deploy anywhere

• Soak up any kind of damage

Snail may not be the fastest but it endures. You can outlast aggressive opponents and control the pace of combat, having the freedom to reposition when caught in a bad spot. Snail is perfect for those new to the game as well, giving a greater margin of error.
