The Theft of Easter

Easter is upon us, but someone is stealing all the eggs. It's you!

In this event, you will be tasked with delivering stolen Easter eggs to the fox. He gave you an exceptional car to do this. The Easter Up. He also promised to let you keep it if you bring him enough Easter eggs. However, the Easter Bunny is not happy about the theft of his prized eggs and has taken extreme measures by sending the police to hunt you down.

You must use your skills to drive the eggs safely through the city, avoiding other cars, the Easter Bunny's wrath, and the police. If the police catch you, they will confiscate the eggs, and you will have failed the mission.

To succeed in this event, you will need to use all of your driving skills and knowledge of the streets to navigate your way to the fox's den and deliver the eggs safely while avoiding the police and other drivers.

This event will provide an exciting and challenging experience for all Chicago 2020 players. Good luck and happy Easter egg delivery!

Full Release Patch Notes for Version 1.1

Version 1.1 also brings controller support and lets you play the game without a keyboard and mouse.

The Highscore has gotten an overhaul. Additionally, to having time tick your Highscore down, there are mali when hitting other cars or the environment. But driving a further distance gives a bonus for every meter. This means going fast enough will increase your Highscore. Your best Highscore is also saved and shown in comparison to your current Highscore at the city exit.

Finally, there are some quality-of-life and visual improvements as well as bug fixes. See the complete list of changes below.

• Easter event level with Easter Up car where players have to transport Easter eggs to a fixed drop-off location.

• Easter delivery target indicator to the player car and hud display for easter eggs still in the cargo hold.

• Easter Up event car as an unlockable car for classic mode.

• Simple dialog system. Fox announces to the player what he has to do to get the Easter up.

• Show the current and all-time best HighScore at the end of the player leaving the city.

• Game mode selection screen, where cars can also be selected.

• A display in the game mode selection screen for the best HighScore and delivered eggs the player has achieved over various play sessions.

• A highlight color for options in the settings menu.

• City exits are now randomly placed

• The mouse cursor will be invisible during the game. If a menu is shown, it will be visible again.

• When busted, the game does not entirely pause but only stops the player and police cars.

• HighScore Display shows the numbers in fixed places. This reduces movement in the HighScore Display.

• HighScore is now composed of elapsed time(-100 every second), mali for hitting cars(-10), police (-20), and the environment(-5 every 0.5s) and a bonus for distance traveled (5 per meter driven).

Bug Fixes

• Closing the pause menu while settings are shown would not correctly reset the pause menu but would show settings again when opening the pause menu.

• It was possible to open the pause menu when the player was busted.
