Chess Pills changes
Hi everyone,
We are rolling out a significant update today focused on gameplay polish and following the rules!
We noticed (and heard from you) that the game was sometimes a bit too "permissive," allowing moves that shouldn't be possible. We've all been there: a slip of the mouse, and suddenly you've wasted a precious turn on an invalid action, or worse, witnessed a Rook trying to slide diagonally across the board like it’s having an identity crisis.
What changes today:
Strict Move Validation: The game now strictly enforces legal chess moves. If you try to move a piece somewhere it can't go, the game simply won't let you.
No More Wasted Turns
Previously, an accidental click on an invalid square might have consumed your action/turn.
Now, if the move is illegal, nothing happens
you get to keep your turn and try again.
This should make the experience much smoother and fairer, ensuring that when you lose a run, it’s because of a tough strategy, not a misclick!
