Chess Infinity | November 2025 - Major Update Out Now

A new major update is now available for Chess Infinity on all platforms. This update addresses a large number of known issues with the game. Be sure to update before your next play session for the best possible experience.

We thank you once more for your patience with us as we worked to prepare this patch. We know it's taken much longer than anticipated.

Multiplayer Stability

• Faster, more stable multiplayer for smoother online matches and fewer disconnects

• Improved clock sync & lobby matching for more reliable multiplayer sessions

• Cross-platform matchmaking clarified, ensuring you can only match with players who allow it, reducing confusion

• Social invites now work reliably across platforms, making it easier to play with friends

Performance Improvements

• Speed boosts on inventory and profile

• Steam Deck speed improvements for an improved experience

Gameplay

• Resolved issues with piece selection and movement, providing smoother piece control and removed potential piece floating or sinking glitches

• The resign button issue has been resolved, where the button would occasionally disappear

• Lesson text and highlights refined with clearer instructions and more accurate tactical feedback

• Dropped pieces and lesson visuals have been fixed so that lessons behave predictably and look correct

  

Stats and Achievements

• Player stats, achievements and activities fixed so that progress and rewards now update correctly

• “Fresh Wood” achievement unlock fixed, so there's no more missed achievements!

Visual & Environmental Polish

• The dynamic weather toggle works properly, so you can choose your preferred environment

• Rain visuals have been refined for better performance and cleaner visuals, and we've fixed the roof, so no more leaks!
