Playtest Closing — Thank You for Playing!
Hey folks!
We’re closing the Charlatan playtest on Steam, and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to play, share feedback, report bugs, and help us shape the game.
We’re genuinely happy to see that Charlatan found a positive response from players — especially from those who took the time to dig into its systems, test its dirty tricks, and tell us where the machine still needs tuning.
We’ve been reading your feedback, and it has been very useful for the team. We’ll keep working on:
making the game feel better and read more clearly,
improving the clarity of mechanics,
polishing the tutorial,
tweaking some of the game rules so the whole experience is easier to understand and more satisfying to play,
taking a closer look at balance and starting decks.
Let’s see where that takes us!
Play Charlatan on itch.io
While the Steam playtest is closing, Charlatan is not disappearing. The current build will remain available on our itch.io page, so you can still download the game, try it out, replay it, or share it with someone who missed the playtest.
If you haven’t had a chance to play Charlatan yet — or if you want to give the machine another spin — we’d be very happy to see you check out the itch.io build.
We’d also love to invite you to join our Discord — that’s where we’ll be collecting feedback, sharing updates, and talking more directly with the community.
What’s next?
You can expect more news as we get closer to Steam Next Fest — and yes, we’re preparing something new for the occasion.
Thank you again for playing and supporting Charlatan!
See you soon!
