Character Limit changes
Good news! Character Limit has been released!
After about a year of development chiefly by one person in his spare time, with some assistance from elsewhere, the game is finally out and available to purchase!
(Not to make it too much of a hard sell or anything, but the game is available at a 20% launch discount, so.... yeah....)
We are pretty proud of this, as it's our first release. It took a week of crunch on Malcolm's side to get it over the line, but it's there.
In the coming weeks, we will continue to discuss the game and its features here, as well as any changes that we add to the game.
We hope you enjoy it! There's more updates planned for the future, so stick around and maybe you'll find a new mode to hammer the keys on.
Teething Issues
Apologies in advance for any jankiness or bugs that appear at first. We will do our best to fix any major ones that appear in the coming weeks.
If you do find any, please tell us about them! You can use the Community section of Steam, or visit our Discord if you're into that sort of thing...
Scoreboards
Believe it or not, we do have scoreboards and achievements in Character Limit.
Due to the number of challenge modes available, you're only going to see them for the main two modes (Normal Endless and Empty the Bag), and once per language.
They are currently available under the Community for the game in the Steam client, if you look under Stats. Alternately, you can also see them if you're checking out your achievements and click Leaderboards.
We do plan to make this a bit easier to see and use in the game itself in the future.
Also, since Malcolm has played this too much in development, he is avoiding leaving a score on the boards for the moment. He's giving you all a chance before he starts to take on the board.
As for how high we're talking, let's just say it's a six-figure feat...
That's probably all we need to mention here for launch.
Once again, thank you for buying and playing our new mess of code and UI elements.
Now, go make long words!
