Cemetery Simulator changes
Hello, gravekeepers.
Cemetery Simulator has shuffled its way into Steam Next Fest, and the demo is open for business. Grab a shovel, tidy up the plots, dig a few holes, and put a friend to work in co-op while you are at it.
Before anything else: thank you. A surprising number of you took the time to fill out our feedback survey, and we read all of it: the kind words, the bug reports, and the brutally honest "I wouldn't buy it in its current state."
That last one stung a little, but you are right, and it is exactly the sort of thing we asked for.
This is a work in progress, and your notes are shaping where it goes.
A Few Things You Told Us (Loud and Clear)
Some themes came up again and again, so we wanted you to know they landed:
The trash bags fill up far too fast. Several of you pointed out that roughly three twigs and the bag is somehow full. Point taken. We are looking at letting you haul more before running for the bin.
Placing graves is fiddly. The most requested feature by a mile is a placement grid, so your headstones line up neatly instead of leaning like they have had a long night. It is on the list.
You want more than cleaning and burials. A lot of you said the loop gets repetitive, and that a real cemetery is more than raking leaves and lowering coffins. More varied tasks, office and paperwork management, meeting grieving families before a service, and a proper way to deliver the coffin (maybe a hearse) all came through clearly.
The NPCs need manners. Mourners wandering into the pallbearer's path or standing inside the walls were a common and very on-brand kind of chaos. We are teaching them to step aside. (You should be happy they did not leave anything more brown there ːlunar2019laughingpigː)
And finally, the part our community is clearly hungry for: the spooky stuff.
Ghosts, paranormal events, talking to restless spirits, witchy and gothic decor, crows instead of pigeons, and a less "cheerful gardening" and more "haunted caretaker" vibe. Message received, and honestly, WE ARE INTO IT.
Keep It Coming
If you play the demo during Next Fest, tell us what you think, the good and the grim. Every survey, comment, and bug report genuinely helps us shape the full release. We are reading.
"Meet you at the Graveyard" - nice song, mix by the missed. Deadly Recommended!
Try not to bury anyone who is still moving.
