To celebrate, the demo has just been updated to version 0.0.2 - featuring bug fixes, improvements based on your feedback, and a small glimpse of new content.

Improvements

  • Tutorial has been updated - clearer instructions and better room layout

    Note: There were many instances where new players couldn't figure out that you actually have to dash into enemy to proceed. These changes should resolve that.

  • Weapon VFX - improved readability, weapon's sprite should be more visible during an attack.

  • Added slight camera offset to better showcase Room Modification above doors (from Runes)

  • Gamepad Detection - game should now display correct button glyphs automatically. Manual override still available in options.

  • Windowed Borderless mode - available in options as alternative to Fullscreen

    Note: There are known issue on Windows 11, where Caveshifter in Fullscreen mode would drop to few fps during streaming or recording. If this happens, switching to Windowed Borderless mode should resolve the issue.

New Content

  • 2 new weapons (available during runs like existing ones)

  • 4 new battle rooms

Fixes & Tweaks

  • Adjusted Strong Attack of Stick N' Nails - collisions should be more accurate now

  • Minor tweaks to Death Screen (Fixed visual glitches while navigating menus)

  • Tweaked wording of few Crafting operations

  • Fixed an issue where Trinket Orb Chest could spawn before the player had any trinkets

  • Fixed an issue where you could meet Knight as a Knight

  • Additional minor bug fixes
