Let's get to all the changes and additions in v1.0!

V1.0 Patch Notes

— CHARACTERS —

New Character - BUCK & WILD! You voted, we delivered! Buck & Wild joins the character roster!

More about Buck & Wild:

  • Starting Skill - Lasso (See Below in the Skills section)

  • Banishing Blow - Rodeo - Wild jumps around wildly, trying to buck Buck off of her. This creates powerful, damaging shockwaves that can devastate your foes!

  • Perks - +50% Speed. 5% Critical Damage every 10 levels (25% max)

ROXY - Now starts with +30% Knockback in addition to previous Perks. QUEEN BEATRICE - Now starts with 2 Cast Outs in addition to previous Perks.

New Stat - Boss Damage! Increasing this stat will allow you to do additional damage to bosses. This also stacks with your overall damage stat to all enemies.

— SKILLS —

NEW ACTIVE SKILL - Lasso

  • Throw out a lasso in the direction the player is facing. Enemies that are hit by the lasso will take damage and, if the enemy survives, will also become temporarily stunned.

NEW PASSIVE SKILL - Bounty Hunter

  • 10% additional damage will be done to bosses.

NEW PASSIVE SKILL - Revenge

  • When taking damage, your damage output will briefly increase.

NEW MYSTIC SKILL - Hogtie

  • Combination of Lasso and Bounty Hunter creates Hogtie. Hogtie is a larger version of Lasso that covers a larger area, as well as stuns enemies for a longer amount of time. However, it has a longer cooldown than Lasso and isn’t affected by the number of projectiles.

NEW MYSTIC SKILL - Sonic Boom and Scurry now combine to create Thunderstorm. NEW MYSTIC SKILL - Decoy and Flower Coins(Passive Skill) now combine to create Explosive Decoy. NEW MYSTIC SKILL - Zapper and Repel now combine to create Zappier. NEW MYSTIC SKILL - Life Seed and Molt now combine to create Tree of Life.

Acid Spray ’s projectile size increased by 66% Acid Spray base damage increments increased by 5 on levels 2, 4, 7, and 9.

Stomp will no longer erase pick up items on the map. Instead, it will now have a small chance to pull in items. Exterminate cooldown increased from 45s → 60s.

The following Mystic Skill combinations have been changed:

  • Thorn Whip now combines with Strike to create Octovine.

  • Stink now combines with Wingspan to create Toxicity.

  • Leaf Shuriken now combines with Rush to create Leaf Barrage.

  • Firecracker now combines with Echo to create Firework.

  • Acorn now combines with Acorn Tree to create Buckeye.

  • Seed Bomb now combines with Revenge to create Nuclear Nut. (Atomic Seed name changed due to player demand!)

— ENEMIES —

Enemies will no longer have their stun state refreshed if hit with a stun ability when already in the stunned state. Additionally, enemies will have a slight cooldown of 3 seconds (10 seconds for bosses) where they cannot be stunned again after the stun state has worn off.

New Enemy! Explosive Venus Fly Trap - These stagnant enemies will trigger an explosion when in the nearby area. Don’t get caught in the explosion!

– COMPANIONS –

The first Companion slot is unlocked by default.

Fixed an issue where the Companion select screen would not appear if Capt. Watchington & Crew were the only Companions built on the map.

Fixed an issue where Flealix and Capt. Watchington & Crew would have to be selected multiple times if previously selected when exiting the Player’s House menu.

– COLONY –

Optimized Colony saving to create small files sizes. Due to this, all Colonies will be resetting now the Early Access has ended. However, during our playtest, we were able to regain locked buildings (and skills) in a few runs. Sorry for this inconvenience, but the game will run smoother now and create much smaller file sizes for players.

Due to popular demand, dashing has been reactivated in the colony!

Adjusted the follow clean up items when colony is first generated: Number of Bottle Caps increase from 10 → 15 Number of small rocks decreased from 400 → 300 Number of weeds decreased from 400 → 300

Fixed an issue where talking to NPCs with multiple lines after already speaking with them would softlock the game.

— Arenas —

New Arena! Crystal Cave - This donut shaped arena provides a new gameplay experience!

Maple Ruins:

  • Changed some of the skills that were buffed in the Maple Ruins blue aura.

  • Red aura now debuffs those skills rather than buffing enemies.

  • UI will pop up to show the player which skills are buffed/debuffed when in the respective aura.

Maple Ruins unlock cost decrease from 5000 → 4000 Happy Lil Forest unlock cost increased from 5000 → 5500 Hollowed Haven unlock cost increased from 5000 → 7000

NEW PICKUP ITEM - Mega Heart - Acorn Trees have an extremely rare chance to drop a Mega Heart, which heals the player for 50HP on pickup.

The following pickup item weights have changed: Single Flower Coin - 57 → 50 10 Flower Coins - 9 → 25 25 Flower Coins - 5 → 15 100 Flower Coins 2 → 7.5 Reroll - 3 → 5 Zapper - 1 → 2

– UI Changes –

Reroll and Cast Out on the upgrade menu have been changed to button inputs. If the Skill Tree is built in the colony, the player will be able to toggle the Mystic Menu in an Arena.

Banishing Blow portraits have been updated for Roxy, Mighty Green, Cid, and Queen Beatrice.
