Cast n Chill Demo v2 is Live

A big thank you to everyone who filled out our feedback form or dropped suggestions in the Steam forums, your thoughts have been incredibly helpful in shaping this update.

We’ve just released a new version of the Cast n Chill demo packed with features you asked for. Whether it was improving fishing mechanics, adding new content, or making the game even more relaxing to play, we’ve listened, and here’s what’s new:

NEW FEATURES

• Fawnmirror Lake – A tranquil new location to explore, unlocked via fishing license

• 5 New Fish, 1 New Rod, 5 New Lures – Expand your gear and discover new species to catch

• Idle Mode – Let the game cast for you while you chill and enjoy a calming, passive experience

• Vertical Mode – Resize the window to sit neatly on the side of your screen

• Zoom Out Option – Get a taller view of the stunning landscapes and soak in more scenery

• Refined Fishing Mechanics – Improved line controls and a new lure system linking lures to rods

• Fish Battle Balancing – Reeling in fish now feels more responsive and rewarding (the fish get tired!)

• Nibbles – Fish may nibble without biting, use the right lure to hook the species you’re after

• Fish Discovery & Logbook – Find new fish to unlock their details in your logbook and research the best lure to use

• Character Customiser – Shuffle your look with a randomiser (full customisation coming soon)

• New Music & Soundscapes – Tranquil new music and improved natural soundscapes to deepen your relaxation

This update is a big step toward the cozy fishing experience we’ve all been imagining, and it wouldn’t be possible without your feedback. If you get a chance to try the demo again, we’d love to hear what you think!
