Cascadou changes
The last couple of months I've been hard at work finishing the demo of Cascadou, and now it's time to release it into the world!
Is it scary? Heck, yeah! Is it fun? Also heck, yeah!
The demo of Cascadou showcases quite a bit of the game. You have three modes you can play:
Easy, Normal and Lucky Runs. Around 70 stickers are available in the demo, but some you have to unlock by playing.
A Cascadou run consists of 7 days, with morning, afternoon and night rounds, with some alternative challenges along the way. In the demo, runs are limited to 10 rounds, but there is no time or play limit, so you can play as much as you want.
I recommend going through the tutorial to get aquainted to how the game works, but these are the basic rules:
Reach the target goal by scoring poker hands
Playing or Swapping a card costs 1 move
Playing a card finds the best scoring hand, or multiple hands if connected to more than one poker hand.
Reach the goal before you run out of moves (10 in normal, 12 in easy)
Upgrade your deck with stickers and cards to bolster scores, add moves or boost hands (or all kinds of weird stuff)
Some tips along the way:
Take care to not spend too many moves shuffling cards around. Sometimes playing a high card to make a poker hand fall in place is all you need. Learn to look for Straight and House/Palace. They score big, and can be combined with other poker hands too! The more you play, the easier it gets to see poker hand possibilities. Practice now and you'll kill it when the full game comes out!
Speaking of the full game, it will be out sometime 2026. It will include at least 110 stickers, lots of fun and challenging modes, two daily solitaire modes, unlockables and achievements! Numbers will go brrrr! Chains will explode into the wee hours!
And - this is the first demo release. There might be some occational bugs, or some unbalanced items. Maybe you'll find a fun way to break the game or glitch yourself to more money you can spend. Have fun, and let me know what you think!
