Update #6

Lots of update this month! It's a good start to the year to get some of these items off the TODO list. There's still a lot of work remaining, but I think I'm getting closer to having a more stable final release date.

changedNew User InterfaceI finally got around to doing a full pass over of all the UI elements in the game. This not only brings all the elements together to look more consistent, but it should also fix multiple issues with elements not being positioned on screen correctly in certain resolutions. I think most people use 1920x1080 anyway, but it's nice to have the peace of mind that someone playing on a laptop isn't going to get a subpar experience.

New User Interface

I finally got around to doing a full pass over of all the UI elements in the game. Cascade Cafe has a Discord! ... Again!

Yes technically I had a Discord server before, but I only just realized that the default server link that Discord generates expires in 24 hours. So every time I was adding it to the game or sending it to people, it never actually worked.

Once I looked into how the server links work, I went down a rabbit hole of the best way to setup a Discord server. I think the server is configured much better than it was before!

At the moment the server is pretty silent (owing to my failure of understanding Discord settings), so it would be great if people came by and said hello.

In Game Feedback Form

Since Cascade Cafe is not in Early Access, people can't leave reviews on the game. This is a big downer because I really want to know what issues, bugs or ideas people have. To try and make this a bit easier to report I've added a new feedback form to each screen of the game. You can just click the button in the bottom right at any time and send me some ideas or bugs. I'm really excited to see this in action!

What's Next?

Over the next few months I'll be adding another round of polish to the game and implement all that feedback I'll get from the new feedback form (wink wink). After this is done, hopefully in the next month, I'll push the game into Early Access! *dubstep air horns*.
