Hello, Adventurers!
We are thrilled to finally share the news we previously teased. The long-awaited new class, the Archer, has officially joined the paper world in today’s update! Alongside this, we have carefully implemented monster balance adjustments and various improvements for a smoother adventuring experience.
New Character: Archer
Starting today, you can choose to play as the Archer, who brings a completely different charm from the Warrior.
The Archer specializes in a powerful Piercing Attack that strikes through all enemies in a straight line. While the Warrior stood firm on the battlefield, the Archer will require an entirely new strategy focusing on precise aiming and positioning. Experience for yourself how these piercing attacks will change the tide of battle!
System Balance and Difficulty Adjustments
Based on the valuable data provided by our players, we have recalibrated the difficulty to ensure more tense and immersive combat.
General Monster Composition:
The difficulty of monster spawn sets has been finely tuned.
- Act 1 BalanceTo ensure smoother progression in the early stages, the health of the Hippo monster has been slightly decreased (5 to 4).
- Boss Encounter StrengtheningFor more challenging boss battles, boss health has been increased (10 to 15 / 15 to 20) to add more tension to the fight.
- Combat Mechanism ImprovementsWe have addressed an issue where multi-shot attacks would occasionally pass through obstacles, providing more accurate combat hit detection.
Major Bug Fixes and Improvements
We have resolved issues that hindered the flow of combat and enhanced visual convenience.
Monster and Hit Detection Improvements:
Fixed a display error regarding the Frilled Lizard’s attack range and resolved an issue where the Scorpion’s dash would fail to destroy obstacles in certain situations.
The dash hit detection and rendering have been corrected overall to ensure attacks land exactly where they are visually indicated.
Various hit detection errors related to the Scorpion (such as damage not being applied or pins remaining on screen) have been resolved.
UI and Convenience Enhancements:
Resolved an issue where the entire screen would temporarily turn black in certain situations.
Overall UI image quality has been improved for a cleaner look, and an image display error on the Compendium page has been fixed.
Addressed an aiming issue that occurred when using the Relocation skill, allowing for more precise control.
