addedThe first release build of Carrier has been sent to Valve for approval and we're ready to go! Anyone who's followed Carrier since it's original campaign on Greenlight will probably have noticed that the original release date of Early Summer 2017 was not met and we chose September instead. There are a few simple reasons for this: - When we launched Carrier onto Greenlight, we were very confident with the build we were currently testing, but we were also students. When the campaign was successful and we realized we could officially launch, we wanted to take some extra time to make sure the initial release was worthy of your time. - We had new external members join the team with different areas of expertise, so we pushed the release date back to make better use of their abilities in polishing and improving the base game. - We knew we had a few bugs and imperfections that we could iron out with a bit more time in the oven - and as one of the LAST games to ever proceed through the old Greenlight system, we didn't want to launch as the kind of mess that led to Greenlight's eventual demise. As a result - the Carrier we are releasing is vastly improved over the Carrier that we promised. We've made major quality of life additions, taken time for additional testing and balancing, and we upped the mission count to 30 from the initial 25. We also made various graphical improvements and replaced a lot of the 3D assets. Carrier is completely Free-to-Play, with no micro-transactions or restrictions. We want as much feedback as you can give us on this initial version so that we're able to continue to improve the game in coming weeks post-launch. We hope you enjoy it and decide to tell your friends about it, and thanks for giving us the opportunity to release our first game onto Steam!
