Slums × Industrial Revolution — Synopsis of “CARGO:HUMAN SIDE:Lily”
During the Industrial Revolution—an era when everything was produced—people’s lives grew richer. But in the shadows, so too did the things deemed “unnecessary.”
Sector:06 — a city built from what was cast away.
Recently, “disappearances” have been occurring in this city. Not only cargo—but “people” as well.
An investigator, with nowhere else to go, drifts into this place. There, they meet a girl selling white flowers.
“Would you like some flowers?”
From that encounter, the story begins. Beneath the surface of this city, a certain cult continues its quiet existence— a story of those who were never chosen.
Why We Are Developing Both a TRPG and a Steam Game
CARGO:HUMAN, the main title of CARGO:HUMAN SIDE:Lily, is currently in development as an inventory-driven dark adventure game. At its core lies the world of the Cthulhu Mythos.
Originally created as a TRPG scenario, the project took shape as a video game and was released in that form first. In adapting it, certain elements—particularly the heroine, Lily—could not be fully explored.
By experiencing both this TRPG scenario and the game version of CARGO:HUMAN, players will uncover a singular, complete narrative.
Message from the Creator
I’ve always felt a sense of loss when a work I love comes to an end. With TRPGs especially, the experience is so dense that when a session ends late at night, the feeling of being torn away from that world lingers deeply.
As I replay those moments in my mind, I find myself wishing: “I just want to stay in this world a little longer.”
I began to wonder—could that feeling be sustained in another form? As an answer to that question, we are creating a work where the same world can be experienced not only as a TRPG, but also as a game.
