v0.7.6 Demo
Hi! Finally, the first demo update is here, and it comes with an important announcement regarding the development of the game :)
First of all, we want to thank you all for playing the demo, giving feedback, and simply enjoying it. It really means a lot to us, and the reception the game has received has gone far beyond what we were expecting, so thank you so much!
As for the special announcement: from now on, we will be partnering with Goblinz Publishing (publishers of Sol Cesto, Shogun Showdown, among others)! They will help us bring the game to as many players as possible, as well as support the overall development of the game. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and we’re 100% sure none of this would have been possible without such an engaged and supportive community!
That being said, here are the patch notes. A lot of playtesting was done both externally and internally, so hopefully these changes improve the game even further. We will continue releasing patch updates, so if something isn’t here or you think something is missing, it may come in a future update.
After all that wall of text, here are the patch notes:
UPDATE
Packs
You can now open 2 packs in the demo instead of 1!
Update Goals
Make Magika gameplay more interesting.
Introduce a new strategy: Multicolor / Starters.
Add generic cards to enable early-game synergies and improve early pacing.
Reduce the power of draw-heavy looping decks (commonly used by experienced players).
UI / Quality of Life
After winning a difficulty in a game mode, a"Cleared"tag is now displayed.
Tutorial improvements.
Cards/Augments that interact with the"most played attribute"now display which attribute it is.
Improved Boss effects readability in the Next Boss panel.
Added new animation for Picking/Deleting a Card/Augment

Paradoctyle: Cost from 18 → 16
Plant: Cost from 18 → 16
Armored Plant (Fusion): Cost from 18 → 10.
Brute Force: Cost from 6 → 5
Glitched Shell: Also draws a “Turtle Shell”.
Feral Fury: +30% damage → +50% damage
- FishmanBase damage increased from 6 → 8
Nerfs
- GreedChanged from Rare to Epic.
Life’s Balance: No longer draws a card.
Skeleton Inferno Rider (Fusion): Cost from 15 → 25
Flying Shell (Fusion): No longer draws a card.
Adjusts
Bacterium: No longer draws a "Void" card. Also, now it pays 2 life instead of 8.
- Magic Mushroom and Wizard Mushroom (Fusions)Cost from 6 → 12. Also range increased from Medium → Long.
Dark Mushroom (Fusion): Cost from 6 → 8, but now also summons a Mushroom
- Inferno Bat (Fusion)Cost from 6 → 12. Base damage increased from 10 → 15.
Augments
8 Cards Mana: +25 mana → +20 mana.
Mana Reservoir: +8 max mana → +6 max mana.
Life Boost!: +60 health → +100 health.
Surge of Augments: 10% starting chance → 8% starting chance.
(Rework) Temporal Recharge → This wave, the first time you reach 5 or less mana, set your mana to full again.
[REMOVED FROM THE GAME] Expensive: Sell cards for x5 its cost.
Bundles
- “Starter” BundlesStarting card changed from Chromatic Terrain to Prismatic Might .
Bosses
Giant Battle Bee Boss
Heal nearby ally enemies: 5% → 8%
[REMOVED] If you summon a Monster in a biome other than its own, it will be immediately sold.
Skeleton Hoard
Skeletons revive with 50% life instead of 70%.
Ultimate Dragon
[REMOVED] Receives 50% less damage from spells.
[NEW] Immune to Spells and cannot be frozen.
New Cards
(Only new cards currently available in the demo are listed below. Lot of these new cards have placeholder artworks.)
Multicolor / Starters
Prismatic Convergence: Draw a monster of each attribute.
Prismatic Flow: Gain 0.5 mana. Double it after summoning a monster with an unused attribute this wave. (Resets mana after use or end of wave)
Prismatic Might: Give +0.5% base damage to every monster. Double it after summoning a monster with an unused attribute this wave. (Resets damage after use or end of wave)
Prismatic Vitality: Gain 0.5 life. Double it after summoning a monster with an unused attribute this wave. (Resets life after use or end of wave)
Prismatic Summon: Summon a random Starter that you didn't summon this wave.
Generic Early Game
Terraforming: This wave, after summoning a monster, change that tile's attribute to the monster's attribute.
Attunement: Draw a card from your most played attribute.
Small Duplication: The next time you summon a monster that costs 22 or less this wave, summon a copy of it nearby.
Favorite Summon: Summon a copy of your most used monster that costs 22 mana or less randomly on the map.
Staff of Domination: This wave, every "Staff" spell also destroys obstacles. Also, draw a "Staff" card.
Magic Force: Draw "Greed" from your deck.
Archetypes
Inferno
Flame Synergy: This wave, after using a "Fireball", give +10% base damage to every monster, if it's "Inferno", give it +10% more.
(Rework) (Fusion) Magma Golem: On Summon: Gain +10 damage for each "Fireball" and +5 damage for each "Coin" used this wave.
Nature
Essence Bloom: This wave, the next time you gain life from a card, gain double the amount instead.
Undead
(Rework) Little Death: Now fills your hand with Undead cards instead of just drawing an Undead card.
Magika
(Rework) Gamma Fish: On Summon: Gain +5 mana. Also, add a "Coin" to your hand and draw a card.
(Rework) (Fusion) Wizard Fishman: Pay 2 life: Gain 1 damage for each "Magika" and each "Void" on the field. Also, add 2 "Coin" to your hand.
Golden Provision: Add 2 Coins to your hand.
Bag of Coins: Add to your hand as many coins as possible.
Coin: Ephemeral: Gain 1 mana.
