addedI’m Mao, whose mind is as still as water. Recently, the free demo for our game went live, and we will also be joining Steam Next Fest in June. The demo will receive new content by then, so please stay tuned!
addedWe noticed that many new cultivators often fail because their Mood drops to zero, causing their Wellness to fall rapidly. In this mysterious realm where your Lifespan can be drained away at any moment, you need to keep a eye on your character’s Mood. Mood is one of the most important attributes in the game.
changedThe Mood system we designed is similar to the “Sanity” systems found in other survival games. When your character’s Sleep is in a “Satisfied” state, a positive modifier will appear on the left side, providing “+0.1 per Time Period” Mood recovery to help maintain balance.
changedIf that positive modifier disappears, Mood will slowly begin to decrease. In addition, eating unsanitary food, such as Strange Meat or Dirty Water, will also reduce Mood. Some choices in Encounter Events may also slightly lower your Mood.
changedWhen you are hungry or not well-rested, negative modifiers may appear. Each negative modifier applies a different level of Mood reduction debuff. Once several of them stack together, your Mood can drop very quickly.
changedIn fact, there are several ways to recover Mood in the game. The first is by eating Greenlamp Mint found in Dense Forest. You can also turn Greenlamp Mint into a dessert to recover even more Mood. After defeating demonic beasts in the wild, they may also drop Demon Cores that restore a small amount of Mood. Some Encounter Events may also restore a small amount of Mood.

We saw that one player left a negative review saying there was no way to recover Mood in the early game except by eating Crispy Roast Duck.

Cultivation is wonderful, but don’t overtrain! A healthy Mood is essential for safe cultivation, so please be careful not to fall into cultivation deviation.
That’s all for this devlog. See you in the next one!
