Card Cultivation changes
Custom Mode Now Available on the Beta Branch!
Greetings, fellow cultivators!
Card Cultivation has received a major update. Players who would like to participate in testing can switch to the public_beta branch and update the game to start playing.
Please note: Due to the significant differences between the Beta branch and the default branch, save files created in the Beta branch will not be compatible with the default branch.
We strongly recommend backing up your saves in advance.
This update includes:
1. Custom Mode & Story Mode with Difficulty Selection
Both Custom Mode and Story Mode now support difficulty selection.
In Custom Mode, players can freely customize their starting setup, including:
Initial protagonist attributes
Starting Talents
Birth background
Other opening conditions
At the same time, multiple difficulty options have been added:
Casual Difficulty
Weaker enemies
Higher Realm materials from combat
Longer card duration before disappearance
Normal Difficulty
Balanced enemy strength
Recommended for players familiar with the game’s core systems
Challenge Difficulty
Stronger enemies
Harder to obtain Spirit Stones
Shorter card duration before disappearance
True Immortal Difficulty
Further increased stat pressure and survival difficulty
Only available in Focused Mode
2. Partial Nascent Soul Stage Content Now Available
The Realm cap has been extended to the Nascent Soul Stage.
Players can now:
Cultivate Nascent Soul Techniques
Improve the quality of Nascent Soul Artifacts, Spirit Beasts, and Puppet Cards
3. Continued Balance & Guidance Optimization Based on Feedback
We will continue improving game balance, progression pacing, and beginner guidance based on player feedback and gameplay experience.
Content Planned for May
1. More Random Events, Secret Realms, and NPC Side Stories
In addition to existing encounter locations, more random events will be added during Sword Flight Travel.
We are also introducing new types of Secret Realm gameplay, including:
Ghost Market — Exchange cards by consuming lifespan
Dao Inquiry Platform — Duel against extremely powerful Nascent Soul cultivators
More NPCs and side quests will also be added continuously.
2. Expanded Nascent Soul Gameplay
Players will gain abilities that allow them to convert locations and Secret Realms on the world map into cards, which can then be used to craft:
Artifacts
Skills
Incantations
Other cultivation resources
3. Further Improvements to Golden Core & Nascent Soul Progression
We will continue enriching both the Golden Core Stage and Nascent Soul Stage, including:
New Secret Realms
NPC side quests
More cultivation techniques
More skills
More Talents
Additional progression content
4. Further Adjustments to Custom Mode & Difficulty Systems
We will continue refining and expanding both Custom Mode and the Difficulty System to provide a better gameplay experience.
