Its been a couple of week since the demo released, and a lot has happened since then, so I wanted to bring you up to speed.
Firstly, allow me to thank you for your invaluable and constructive feedback on the demo which has been a huge help for us.
Secondly, we have started to work on your feedback - with the first thing to be addressed is the game's optimization: At the time of writing this blog post, the newest build on Steam should have a 30%- 60% bump in frames per second (depending on your PC), accompanied with at least 50%-80% less loading time when you start a new game. It took James and I, a while to figure out what was causing these issues and while some work is still to be done, we remedied a big chunk of the slowdown without sacrificing visual clarity.
Our goal is to have a final game that is both optimized and performant to the best of our abilities and tech we are using.
Finally, a huge thank you for all your support! I just got of a call with James and we are still astounded by the sheer amount of positive comments from all sides!
No idea how to put it. I'm just happy and smiling all day long.
