Greetings CFST Followers!

We continue working on Car For Sale Together at full speed. In this developer diary, we want to share many new features we have added to the game and are currently working on, from vehicle systems and phone applications to open world activities and the mission structure.

Our goal in this process is not just to create a game where you buy and sell cars, but to offer an experience where players build a connection with vehicles, get to know them, progress through different activities in the open world, and step into a more living world with every update.

Vehicle Improvements

We are making extensive improvements to the vehicle systems. Players will now be able to switch to cameras located at various points of the vehicles with specific key actions. This will allow players to experience the vehicle from different angles in more detail.

The camera control from inside the vehicles has also been improved. Players will be able to use the camera in a fully controllable way while inside the vehicle.

Vehicle headlight systems have also been added to the game. The headlights can be turned on and off with specific key actions. Fog lights are also included in this system.

In addition, vehicle engines can be turned off with a specific key action whenever desired.

Vehicles will have a fuel gauge. Fuel will decrease over time, and players will need to refuel their vehicles at gas stations.

Vehicle brands, models, and technical details will be stored in the game. Players will be able to access detailed information about vehicles through specific actions.

Vehicle doors, side mirrors, front hoods, and rear trunks can be opened and closed in a controllable way.

We have also started working on adding Off-Road vehicles to the game.

Vehicle Purchase System

We have also made important improvements to the vehicle purchase system. Players will be able to browse listings through the phone application, find sellers, and buy vehicles from them.

During the purchase process, players will be able to check the condition of vehicles for a certain fee. This system will add a more strategic and realistic structure to the vehicle buying process.

Fuel System

Each vehicle’s fuel tank size will vary depending on the vehicle type. When your vehicle is low on fuel, you will need to refuel at gas stations located on the map. Otherwise, you may be stranded on the road.

The fuel system does not apply to special vehicles. Some vehicles such as trucks and forklifts will be excluded from this system.

Repair Shop Improvement

Repair shops located in various parts of the map have been mechanically added to the game so players can detect and repair vehicle problems.

Different types of vehicles will need to be taken to different repair shops. For example, luxury vehicles can be repaired by repair shops located in the city.

Off-Road Road System

We are developing a new system for dirt roads. These roads will include various obstacles, similar to MudRunner.

Driving on these roads with regular vehicles will continuously damage the vehicle.

For this reason, using special Off-Road vehicles in these areas will be the most logical solution. Players will also be able to complete different activities in these areas with these vehicles.

Phone Application Improvements

The phone system continues to be renewed. A camera has been added to the game, and the camera application interface has been updated to match traditional phone interfaces. With this application, you will be able to freely take photos of your vehicles or yourself.

The Market Motor App, where players can buy and sell vehicles, has also been added to the game. The interface of this application is not in its final stage yet.

Player and Character Systems

We have also added new mechanics on the character systems side. The injury system has been added to the game. When you hit your friend at high speed or fall from a high place, you get injured and wake up in front of the hospital. This system works similarly to the hospital logic in GTA San Andreas.

Focus mode has been added. With this feature, you will be able to highlight interactable objects and instantly access vehicle information.

The ladder climbing system is also being developed together with animations. In the future, you will be able to overcome various parkour sections and puzzle areas through this mechanic.

Our character will be able to swim when entering a puddle or the sea.

Traffic System

The traffic system has also been improved. Traffic will flow according to road lanes and traffic lights.

With this system, we aim to make open world traffic feel more organized, natural, and alive.

Bus System, Experimental

Several buses on our island will travel between towns. Players will be able to get on buses at bus stops and travel around the island.

This system is currently being developed experimentally.

Truck and Trailer Improvements, Beta

We are also working on truck and trailer systems. Trucks and trailers will be able to work while connected to each other. Compared to other systems, this system is still in an earlier stage, and we are continuing to work on it.

Open World Activities

There will be various activities marked with question marks on the map. These activities will reward the player with followers and, in some cases, money.

Time Trial Races

Players will be able to participate in time trial races both alone and with friends. These activities will be playable within the open world without interrupting the game flow.

Slalom Races

Slalom races will be similar to time trial races, but they will consist of narrower and more winding tracks.

Other Activities

Discoverable locations and areas have been added to the game. Finding these points will reward the player with followers.

Money bags have been hidden in various places on the map. When players find these bags, they will earn a certain amount of money.

Mysterious areas have also been added to the game. These areas will present the player with a story about what happened there through texts and visuals.

Follower System, Social Media

Activities we complete in the open world, along with features such as photo challenges that we will add in the future, will make the player more recognized in the game world.

Each discovery will increase the number of people following the player. This will allow access to a wider vehicle market.

Players will also be able to earn various titles based on their follower count.

Story Mode and Mission System

There is a prologue mission series designed for use in both the demo and the main game. In this mission series, the player or players will get used to the game’s core mechanics while also having dialogues with various characters in the background and getting to know them.

The game’s mission and content system has been designed in a way that can continuously receive future updates. Storytelling may progress in styles familiar from games like Forza or The Crew. In addition, the story can also be delivered through phone conversations, one of the iconic elements of GTA games.

With each update, new story-driven missions suitable for new vehicles and vehicle types will be added to the game. For example, in the Truck and Trailer update, additional roads for long-distance driving and time-limited deliveries will be added to the game. While completing these missions, the story flow will continue in the background.

Car For Sale Together aims to be not just a game where you buy and sell vehicles, but a game where you build a connection with those vehicles and get to know them.

Mission objectives, various scenes connected to these objectives, and special mechanics have been integrated into the game.

Visual Changes, Weather, and Day Cycle

We are using Unreal Engine 5 as the game engine. We are aware that some of our players have certain concerns about this engine, especially regarding Tone Mapping. Many Unreal Engine games are often thought to have similar colors. We made various adjustments to change this and aim to create a world that feels as vibrant as possible.

The weather will change depending on the time of day. Due to the island climate, we will often have to drive in stormy weather.

There will be 5 types of weather in the game.

The day cycle system will progress naturally on its own. There will be no direct player intervention. In future updates, we have ideas such as activating street races only at night.

FPS and TPS Addition

Just like with vehicles, we will also be able to play our character in FPS mode whenever we want. We are designing animations and various mechanics with this system in mind.

Minimap and Map System

As in our previous game Gamer Stop Simulator, a Google-like fictional company has mapped the world of the game. This company is fictional, and its name is Doggle.

When the phone is folded, the minimap will work in the lower-left corner.

You will be able to open a larger map by going to the map application from the phone.

Various activities will also appear on this map.

We Are Waiting for Your Feedback

All of these systems we are developing for Car For Sale Together aim to offer a more living, more interactive, and longer-lasting experience.

From vehicle buying and selling to open world activities, from the follower system to the mission structure, we want every detail to give players a new reason to keep playing.

We will continue to share new systems, improvements, and content with you throughout the development process. Don’t forget to share your feedback with us.
