Capybara Hot Tub Joins Steam Next Fest!

Hey everyone!

We are thrilled to share that Capybara Hot Tub is taking part in Steam Next Fest, and a new demo is now available to play! The festival runs from Monday, June 15 to Monday, June 22, 2026, so this is the perfect moment to jump in, try everything out, and let us know what you think.

Over the past months, we have been working hard on developing the game, and we are still going strong. A lot of things keep evolving and changing along the way, and that is exactly what we love about making games: the creative freedom to shape something as we go.

The best part is that everything we have been working on recently is already playable in the demo. You can try out the streaming mode, see how your capybara's needs work and recover, and make use of everyday furniture like chairs, beds, and shelves. There is plenty of new content to explore, too, from party decorations and a Gothic furniture set to a cozy fireplace, plus fresh collections and snacks. We have also polished movement, improved the build-mode camera, smoothed out the pool, and fixed a number of bugs across the different ways you can play.

Demo vs Full

Of course, the demo is just the beginning. It gives you a 20- to 30-minute taste, while the full game opens up into something much bigger, with 8 to 12 hours of play.

The demo keeps you in the villa, but the full version expands to a whole city, a lake, and a beach. You can already enjoy the pool, bath, bowling, painting, the fruit bar, and streaming; later, there will be arcade games, darts, flowriding, a dance zone, and even farming.

The full game also brings 2 to 4-player co-op, deeper customization for furniture, skins, and your capybara's look, and a full cinema star career to work toward.
