Capybara changes
I know it’s been a long time since the game launched without an update. I also know that some players were waiting for the prestige system. And I know there were some issues with the skin drop system.
The truth is that I’ve been prioritizing several personal matters and didn’t have the motivation to go back and review all of that. There’s no excuse or complex story behind it — just a matter of motivation and time.
That said, I’m happy to announce that today I’ve released version 1.1.1 of Capybara. This version includes the following:
Prestige System
A new option on the right side where you can see your progress in prestige points. You can purchase prestige upgrades that will be applied when you prestige.
Skin drop fixes
After a thorough code review, I believe I’ve found the reason why some players were getting skin drops while others weren’t. We’ll see if the issue persists.
Naming fixes
Some players reached such high score levels that they broke the naming system. This should no longer happen from now on.
Music pause button
Sometimes the music can be a bit overwhelming. With the new button, you can pause it without lowering the volume, so you can enjoy the best soundtrack on all of Steam whenever you feel like it.
Confirmation prompts
You know when you went into the game options and clicked “Exit” intending to close the options window, but ended up closing the game instead? That won’t happen anymore.
All that’s left is for me to thank everyone who keeps playing and who has been patient and hopeful that I would someday return to update the game. I want to improve little by little as a game developer, and this — my first project — will not be abandoned.
I hope you enjoy the update. Sincerely, Ventura
